I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Upon entry, it looked okay if a little unkempt. It looks like it was once beautiful and simply hasn't had the maintenance it truly needs to keep it at the highest level. The staff we spoke to at reception were polite and well mannered. Our party was very large (around 15 of us) and they did their best to accommodate us and our needs. We were all given rooms next to one another which was ideal however all of the rooms had a very strong and very unpleasant aroma. We complained to the reception and were moved to different rooms within the hour. The second rooms were better with no odours. They were clean and tidy and supplied with towels plus personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, soaps, etc The restaurant had a decent selection of breakfast foods and it was generally very tasty. We didn't eat there throughout the day but it was ideal for breakfast. All in all, its not a bad hotel. I'm sure it would have been or could have been better some years back and this is readily apparent from the moment you enter. However, it is relatively cheap and situated fairly well.

Aziza Paradise Hotel – Service Shines, but Rooms Need a Refresh Overall Rating: 3/5 The Aziza Paradise Hotel in Puerto Princesa offers a genuinely warm and welcoming experience, primarily driven by its exceptional staff and appealing public areas. While the service is easily five-star, several maintenance and amenity issues with the guest rooms slightly tempered the overall stay, leading to an overall rating of 3 out of 5. Arrival and First Impressions (5/5) Our stay began smoothly with the convenient airport shuttle service. Upon arrival, the hotel lobby truly lives up to its "paradise oasis" name. It boasts high, open ceilings, abundant greenery, and a delightful open-air atmosphere, making the lack of air conditioning completely unnecessary and quite refreshing. The check-in process was commendably quick. Since we arrived early for a scheduled tour, the staff immediately accommodated our luggage, allowing us to proceed with our plans stress-free. This level of attentiveness was a strong sign of the great service we experienced throughout our visit. Service and Dining (5/5) The service is undeniably the hotel’s greatest asset. Every staff member was extremely pleasant, greeted guests politely, and demonstrated a commitment to great service. The breakfast buffet was a highlight of the dining experience. It offered a solid variety of options, catering to different tastes with Filipino classics, as well as international and continental choices. Crucially, the food was consistently good and flavorful. Room and Facilities: Areas for Improvement (2/5) The building layout is unique, featuring only three floors with no elevators. The 2nd floor sits on the ground level, while the 1st floor requires descending stairs and the 3rd floor requires ascending stairs. While the design intends to minimize the need for traditional elevators, it can still be a consideration for guests with mobility issues. The primary drawbacks were found within the guest rooms. While adequate, the rooms felt noticeably outdated. Specifically, the cabinets looked old, and some doors were in need of repair, presenting a clear maintenance issue. The bathrooms, in particular, require immediate attention to guest comfort and security: Security: There were no locks on the bathroom doors, a significant oversight that should be addressed immediately. Amenities: Only bath towels were provided, with no hand towels. Furthermore, the supplied shampoo and body wash were in insufficient quantities. Maintenance: The grout work in the bathroom was poor, with pieces easily removed, suggesting underlying issues with maintenance. Conclusion Aziza Paradise Hotel excels in delivering excellent hospitality, ambiance in its public spaces, and quality food options. The staff's commitment to service is exemplary. However, the 3/5 rating reflects the need for substantial investment in updating and maintaining the guest rooms, particularly fixing the aging cabinets and resolving critical issues like the missing bathroom locks and poor grout quality. With renovated rooms and better stocked basic amenities, Aziza could easily be a top-tier choice in Puerto Princesa.

This cozy hotel is situated on a quiet street in Puerto Princesa, offering a peaceful and comfortable stay. Its amenities are satisfactory, though slightly dated — the restroom mirror shows some tarnish and the cabinets could benefit from minor repairs. Nevertheless, all facilities remain functional and well-maintained. The staff are courteous and professional, consistently providing respectful service. However, the hotel still relies heavily on paper-based processes; adopting a more digital system would be a commendable step toward environmental sustainability. In terms of location, the property is slightly distant from the main city attractions. Transportation to the cathedral, for instance, costs approximately ₱200. On the other hand, its proximity to Robinsons Mall and several dining establishments adds to its convenience. Overall, this hotel is a pleasant choice, particularly for families traveling with children who will surely enjoy the pool area. For tourists seeking to immerse themselves more deeply in the local culture and city life, accommodations closer to the Baywalk might be more ideal.

Housekeeping is truly the strength of this property. Everything is well-attended, and they consistently respond promptly to requests. Kudos as well to the bellman and security team for doing their jobs exceptionally well. However, the weak point of this hotel is the front desk. They are noticeably slow and unwelcoming, with little sense of urgency from check-in to check-out. Even claiming a simple deposit takes an unreasonable amount of time. Unlike other hotels that accommodate early check-in when rooms are ready, they strictly wait until 2 PM, showing little flexibility. Overall, the front desk team comes across as unhelpful and entitled, which significantly affects the guest experience.

The rooms were dirty and had a smell to it, other then that there were so many mosquitoes and the bathroom were also dirty as well. We did not go to the pool as we could not tell if they has cleaned it or not. Food was pretty good though, would not recommend this hotel as there are other options!
