Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort

Great resort on the edge of the village - 7 minute walking distance along trail beside a beautiful beach. The grounds are spectacular as is the beach and pool (perfect temps). Lifeguards ensure your swim is safe as many ocean riptides. I would have rated 4.5 but not possible. The staff are friendly and work hard to accommodate your needs. The reception staff (all) were very helpful and professional, the wait staff in the restaurant are good (specifically Stephanie who was welcoming, understandable and capable). The hotel staff were great at organizing trips and transfers. Extras: there is a small gym and massage area on the grounds. The rooms are clean and massive and have a much needed air conditioner. Try to get a top room as the floors are wood and squeaky and those in the bottom units must hear your every step. Breakfast is good with lots of variety. Lunch and dinners are also very tasty and well presented. Try the calamari, it’s a winner. Also, ask for fries in place of rice for a change. ATM on site- but the usual EuroNet with high rates. Also, laundry service for a reasonable price. Great location to the port where the boats take you to the Underground River (Cave), which is a highlight of the area. A couple of Negatives - Big rooms but smaller than usual bathrooms - Drinks at the restaurant a bit of a challenge. Some Bartenders not trained and struggle with the assistance of others on how to make a (proper) cocktail, altho the first day we had a stellar bartender but not the rest of the time. Happy Hour - cocktails only 20% off. - Bottles of wine 2,500 Php ($65) outrageously priced. - No filtered water at meals other than breakfast, only expensive bottled water available (for a cost). Should be filtered water available with no charge. - Prices for drinks and food at the higher end. Not what you expect in the Philippines (ie martini Php 550 ($13). - Tours are really expensive (ie. firefly walking tour 2,100 Php $60). - Junior Suites are basically 2 hotel units on one floor with a little sitting area. Nothing special. Strange Suggestion to Hotel: - a broom & dustpan should be in every room so we can pick up any sand and not drag it into the bed - A toilet brush is also needed - Patio is not nice to use as full of tree droppings. Need to power wash to clean every guest. Maybe just the junior suite patios as large and open

We stayed in a large group across 4 rooms that included beach front accommodation, amazing views and a private pool. The staff were super helpful and all equipped with the Filipino hospitality and charm. The food was fab, breakfast, lunch and dinner, from local dishes to pasta and steak. Rowdy is equipped with swim up bar at the pool, beach bar, massage huts and a gym. The beach is stunningly beautiful. The hotel organised private tours and transfers for us. Mostly we loved the environment. You stay in the confines of a national park, the resort architecture is inspired by traditional buildings and sits well in the surrounds. The wild life is around you day and night and the beach/sea is constantly inviting. The village is a short walk and includes restaurants and bars. We loved our stay.

This is a gem of a resort. The location is perfect for a quiet time on the beach with wonderful sand. The service from the staff is excellent. They go above and beyond to accommodate any request you may have. The food in the restaurant was incredible.
