Bucana beachfront guesthouse

Simple and clean rooms right at the beach. Good for the price. Friendly service and good breakfast. Good choice of food and drinks. The stretch of the beach in front of the guesthouse is nice and clean. Good choice of local restaurants and massage options nearby. Really nice views and relaxing sound of waves Some areas they could improve: - Wifi is not great in the rooms (but it’s good in the terrace area) - The shower temperature can’t be regulated and water is cool (however didn’t bother us as it was pleasantly cool and not uncomfortably cold)

We knew that the guesthouse is simple and the rooms are simple too. Albert, Ron and Joel were fundamental in making our stay memorable and were there every step of the way: massage, those awesome meals, keeping the room nice and clean. And then those views! Bucana to us is the best beach in the area as there are only locals around and very few tourists. Highly recommended for anyone that does not mind a cold shower (in this climate it's actually quite nice) and a very simple setup, but also are open to human interaction.

We booked 4 nights but left after the first. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such good reviews. From the start, the owner was unfriendly and didn’t even show us around—just handed us the keys and that was it. The room was tiny, not very clean, and the bathroom didn’t even have a mirror. The shower was terrible—just a pipe with no proper showerhead. I understand it's a remote location, but I’ve had much better conditions in remote islands in the Philippines. The location is far from El Nido, with poor access. The food was nothing special. The beach is okay—quiet and empty, no tourists—but definitely not worth staying just for that. When we informed the owner that we were leaving early, we were honest about our reasons. Instead of understanding, she was rude and accused us of writing a negative review, which wasn’t true. (Another couple also left after one night—wonder why?) The owner initially promised a refund. Since we had trouble canceling through the booking platform, we contacted customer support. It took a day or two to get a response, and after that, the owner went back on her word, refused to refund us, and was rude in our messages. I do not recommend this place. There are much better options in El Nido with better conditions.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights. We were looking for a nice and affordable beach front accommodation and this place didn’t disappoint. The common area is just in front of the beach and really peaceful. The restaurant makes great food at a very affordable price. The staff are attentive and helpful. They help you arrange transport to and from the location at great prices. They also offer laundry and motorcycle rentals. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean and an AC can be used at an additional fee if the room gets too hot. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing few days on a beach at an affordable price.

I write here because on Airbnb didn't left me to make a review. This place is a very bad choise. they send me a scamer to take me from the hotel to the Nacpan beach. 1300 pesos one way. official price 600 700 pesos one way. 3 nights there : no clean, no towel-change. the last night was terrible. noise until 2 AM from drunk people on the terrace. better organise transport on your own or rent a moto. the boy from the bar bell at the door to pay the drinks and food daily. when you can pay allthe consumption at the check out or one day before. In the room warmer than outside. maybe more than 35 36 degrees. A/C didn't work. terrible experience. They didn't let you to write a review on Airbnb. The real review are on Booking. They accept reviews only from people they know that will write a good review. A SCAM 100% don't sleep there.
