Panahanan Hotel

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights with our family of 5 and our 2 small dogs, and we really enjoyed our time! The hotel is a 3-storey building with a function hall and a restaurant right by the lobby. Breakfast was free and delicious, and the place has both an elevator and a nice grand staircase. The location is peaceful yet still convenient—just 10–15 minutes from the city proper. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They also provide free bottled water, and you can always request more. The best part—it’s pet-friendly 🐶 (with a small nightly fee of 400 each pet and refundable deposit), and it was so convenient that there’s even a pet store right beside the hotel! Additional charges apply for early check-in/late check-out and for extra pillows or duvets. Our family had a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely come back. Just a few nice-to-haves that could make the experience even better: a telephone system, an exhaust fan in the bathroom, and a mini fridge. Overall, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Baguio! ❤️

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, including the bathroom. We appreciated the tasty free breakfast and even had a few lunches on-site — everything we tried was good. The staff and owners were genuinely friendly and accommodating, which made our stay feel very welcoming. We also enjoyed the acoustic nights and their great coffee. The water pressure and heater worked great, and while the Wi-Fi could be a bit more stable, it didn’t take away from the experience. The location is convenient too — about a 10-minute drive from downtown and easily accessible by car or public transport. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, which made it even better. Will definitely stay again :)

Overall: It’s a decent hotel — definitely not 5-star, more like a solid 3-star property. The room was spacious and clean, and it smelled pleasantly fresh, like “Bamboo Fresh,” when we arrived. However, for a 3-star hotel, I find the rates quite expensive. Breakfast is included and can be delivered to your room at no extra cost, which is a nice touch. It’s plated — I tried the banana pancake, which tasted good but was a bit too sweet for breakfast (felt more like dessert!). We booked the Double Deluxe Room, which is meant for four guests, but the base rate of ₱3,800 only covers two people. You’ll pay an additional ₱550 per extra guest. What I found unreasonable was that each bed came with only one pillow, and there were just two bath towels and one hand towel provided. Asking for extras costs around ₱30–₱50 per item. It may be a business strategy, but to me, it feels more like nickel-and-diming guests. The hotel is pet-friendly, which is great, but they should disclose the pet fees upfront. We only found out about them at check-in, which can be frustrating for pet owners who expect transparency. In summary, Panahanan Hotel is a nice place to stay — clean and comfortable — but it’s overpriced for its category and location outside the city center. Hence, I’m giving it 3 stars.

The service is great! All the staffs were welcoming and very helpful. The cafe has a variety of food,drinks and desserts, all taste great! Oh and they have a venue for events, thats pretty big and has a nice structure. The hotel itself is pretty small, but it gives of a homey vibe that just feels so welcoming, the hotel lobby has an open room design, so im pretty worried about the night time receptionists because it gets pretty cold at night. Oh and they charge additional fees if you invite people in who arent checked in and an accidental fee just incase you break or stain the room items. But over all, great service! Would come again❤️

We enjoyed our 3 days 2 nights stay with our two dogs, at this family owned hotel. The rooms were clean and smelled really nice. Only thing that could make it better is if rags or matts were provided so that you don't trail water inside the room after you take a shower. Only towels were provided so we had no choice but to use one to dry our feet. Giving 4/5 stars because of this. Service was excellent! I loved that there was a small cafe downstairs where we can order food. Room service is also available. No corkage if you order food from outside and bring it inside your room. Location was OK. The parking space needs improvement as the space was too tight especially for SUVs. The parking can also get very packed especially when there's an event or if there's a lot of people. The exterior needs a bit of improvement. 4/5 stars because of this. I was just given a mini-heart attack during check out when the lady checking our room said there were "stains" on the bed sheets which turned out to be just dirt that can be washed away. Overall our experience was enjoyable and we would definitely stay here again. I love that the family is very hands-on and assists the guests themselves. Keeps the place very homey and grounded. They welcomed our pets too (with a small fee)!
