a month agoMore like 3.5 stars instead of 4. Pros: Good service. Topnotch. Spacious parking Good hot water Spacious rooms Decent breakfast from pancake house Big pool area/s Cons: - The hotel room feels too basic for its price. The free slippers lasted 5 steps before it teared. - the pool could use some professional help in water balancing. Too much chemicals. I am pretty sure they're not doing water testing prior to chemical application. All in all, still an 'okay' choice. -

a month agoWe went there last Nov. 6 and still had a great time, even though there were no waves during the weekdays. We especially enjoyed the slide! I just hope there could be a small sink near the cottages for washing hands, so guests won’t need to walk all the way to the changing area or restroom, especially if their assigned cottage is far. It would also be nice to have a small fan in the cottages to help keep flies away from the food.

a month agoMy personal go to resort if i'm looking to relax and swim. Though some pools need more maintenance, majority of them are upkept greatly and each pool offers something unique. Scenery is beautiful during sunset, definetly worth especially for its price point.

4 months agoIt’s an okay place. Rooms are a little dated. Swimming pools are a bit cloudy and lacking the balance of chemicals. Will need a deposit once you check in. Good thing is they have a lot of staff working. There is a Pancake House restaurant in the premises. There is a 711 right outside the hotel. Wifi used to be so bad that you will loose connection every 5 minutes, but I see they’ve changed their modem from the old white one to the black one with 4 antennas. Bad thing is that when you get a room on the parking lot side is you will hear the noise from people going swimming specially during the weekend.

8 months agoI recently visited 8 Waves Resort to accompany my niece during her swimming lesson, along with her coach. We were only supposed to stay for an hour, and I was just there to wait—without any intention of using the facilities. However, I was disappointed with how the entrance policy was handled. The staff at the gate asked for an ID, and I presented a valid digital ID. Unfortunately, they insisted on a physical ID, which was not clearly stated anywhere beforehand. Because of this, we were forced to purchase full admission tickets not only for me, but also for the coach, even though neither of us were swimming. I understand that resorts have rules, but there should be a little flexibility and better customer service, especially in cases like this where the visit was brief and non-recreational. This experience left a negative impression, and I hope management considers clearer communication and more reasonable handling of these situations in the future.
