really good dive resort. service is great, very accommodating of our needs. we travelled with my mom, a senior, and the staff was always willing to assist us on our requests. good job! the rooms are adequate, it's a dive resort not a luxury hotel so don't go looking for too many amenities. the dive and snorkeling experience here is great! the variety is abundant and the 3 resident turtles were present. overall great experience! love the unlimited coffee!
Resort premises are very nice, perfect for chilling after multiple dives and the sunset view is just amazing. Location: 10/10 - from the shore you can already access multiple dive sites. Be sure to book ahead as rooms are quickly booked, and for groups, they have dorm-type rooms (minimum of 3). Rooms include a buffet dinner and set breakfast. Staff are very kind and hospitable, and responsive via SMS/phone call.
Price-wise, brace a little as it's not cheap. Rooms could also use an update - it's clean and has a great ocean view but quite basic for the price. Just a place to spend the night but don't expect premium resort feels.
TL;DR go for diving not staycation. Best location for dives, if diving/staying overnight go as a group to spread costs; rooms are basic. My go-to dive resort in Anilao.
While the scenic views were beautiful, unfortunately, almost everything else about this resort was disappointing. Service is horrible and food is mediocre.
## Diving Experience
* Despite knowing for a month that we were a group of seven divers, they only provided ONE divemaster for the entire group. The recommendation is, MAXIMUM, 4 divers per divemaster.
* Minimal assistance/help with equipment setup. They don't even give you a box to bring your things to the boat
* Safety concerns: Our group included one Open Water diver and several Advanced Open Water divers, which should have required additional supervision given the poor visibility conditions
* Some diving equipment was in poor condition with some holes
## Food Experience
* Very limited food options
* Fruit was not available
* Most shakes/drinks were unavailable during large portions of the day
* Staff lacked proactivity (we had to suggest refrigerating drinks ourselves)
* Breakfast was extremely basic - just a plate with a single toast, some tomato, a banana OR a piece of chicken, and a small portion of rice
* Staff refused to accommodate simple requests like making an omelet or anything not strictly on the menu
* Most dishes were mediocre at best
* The dinner buffet was the only positive dining experience, though it had limited hours (7:00 PM to 8:30 PM)
We had an awesome day trip to Planet Dive in Anilao, Batangas, Philippines. 🇵🇭 I emailed them to set up the visit and they were very responsive. The resort is gorgeous! Twin Rocks marine sanctuary was full of a variety of fish and beautiful coral. The visibility was great! They have snorkels and scuba for rent.
It was so nice to relax on the deck, under the trees with a great view of the bay. The pool had a nice view, too. Lunch service was a little slow but order early and they'll deliver to you on the deck so you can continue to relax. The food was great though!
Highly recommend if you want an awesome day trip of snorkeling, pool, and relaxing in a beautiful resort!
Horrible service but lovely view
Rooms are air conditioned but smell like sewage and a massive roach crawled out of my sink the first night. We initially were in another room that had electricity running through the faucet and shower that shocked us to touch. When we asked for another room we were charged an additional 300 per night —- this is also on top of over 1000 pesos more than what was listed online because apparently if you book on-sight it costs more…
View is spectacular but expect to be surrounded by dirty dishes and 0 music playing. Ambiance and hospitality are not featured here.
Diving was nice, fish are incredibly diverse and colorful. But if you care about hospitality, book elsewhere and just dive here. Although be ready to be charged $90 per person for a 2-dive boat dive. You can find way better value elsewhere.
