Reserved accommodation but reception looked surprised when we got there. So we decided to book on another place nearby which was much much better. This place was too crowded, looks like they overbooked, so much so the caretakers don't know how to organize. Also did a fun dive with them, no briefing and they literally just ask you to pay and then say do whatever you want. Safety diver to fun diver ratio is pretty much negligible. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
It's a challenging experience doing freediving with the people here. Very accommodating and friendly coaches. Don't mind the hostel dude, this is not what you came from
Freediving, fun diving, scuba diving, you'll never be bored. You'll definitely love the food and drinks too!!
5/5! Accomdating staff, friendly and reliable free diving coaches! Don't forget to bring necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, towel, plastic bag for wet clothes. Food is great as well!
Balai Lawom is a sanctuary for freedivers, offering a serene base from which to explore the underwater wonders nearby. With its comfortable accommodations and supportive, like-minded community, it's the perfect spot to rest and recharge between dives. An ideal haven for the adventurous soul, Balai Lawom enhances every freediver’s journey with its charm and hospitality.
Awesome place to stay! Budget friendly, good food and wonderful staff. Most of the people who are staying in this hostel are freedivers. But you can also find comfort in this hostel if you just want to relax and unwind. I recommend staying long term and on weekdays if you don't want too much crowd and noise.
Definitely a must visit during weekends especially during happy hour. Enjoy unlimited cocktails for Php250, nice venue to socialize and meet new people in the community. Food and drinks here are 100% delicious and worth your money.
This is also a good place if you're working remotely.
