Set close to the main road it is easy to access. Parking is limited so Pay Parking is probably your next option. Jimmy the host is uber friendly and is well connected.
Our dive guide knows safety and explains all steps well. The shore is a bit bare and mostly sandy and can be boring. Although we saw some nudibrancs eals scorpion fish flat fish and turtles.
Hotel room is just OK but in Anilao You get what you pay for. And since I chose to be thrifty I get a spartan bedroom with all its quirks. Cant really complain unless I pay a lot more.
Food is delicious and affordable. if you want quiet nights Avoid weekends as guests tend to be noisy with karaoke ll night. And since the rooms are close to the main hall it can be a challenge to sleep early.!
For a budget friendly place this is a very good option
Nice beach access, great and friendly staff, great dive boats, speed boat and jetskis. Welcomes any watersport. Great value of food and drinks at the resto bar. Has its own air tank refill for divers. Big house rental good for big groups.
Do NOT use this dive center. It is a dishonest and unethical business. Was quoted a price of 1,250 pesos per dive for a shore dive by the owner, and I agreed to multiple dives at that price. After the dives were completed the owner changed the price and said he "forgot" to include other costs, and charged me more than the original price. There are many other dive centers in Anilao that are honest and trustworthy.
If we are to believe the owner and he can't get his prices right, then why in the world would you trust him with your life while diving? My belief is that it's even worse and he charged me more because of discrimination. Regardless, it raises many red flags and questions for me as a fellow dive professional.
๐๐๐๐๐ but let me say a few things about the place...
Pros:
1. The balcony view especially when waking up gives you serenity
2. The room can accommodate up to 4-5
Two beds are made of bamboo and one extra bed foam can be put on the floor
3. The host is very accommodating. She gives tips where to get what you need.
4. You can cook, just buy something to put in the fridge before check-in
5. Air-conditioning works well. We didn't check the TV.
Cons:
1. No hot shower, it's a challenge to take a bath ,
2. They only provided the shampoo and soap when we asked for it
3. Not accessible with restaurant, there's a restaurant nearby but it closes at 8pm.
4. WIFI - Intermittently weak
