to expensive for the quality of the structure.
staff is nice and kind but all the rest is overpriced considering the actual service , the access to the structure is for sure not friendly and recognized from the staff as well. breakfast is really poor and not many options room are old and internet service is a disaster.
beach stone can be nice but nobody take care and you can find bottles or plastic.
nice view but nothing else. I won't go back
We spent 5 amazing days at Altamare. The staff was so nice and attentive, the food was good and the location was just amazing. We witnessed amazing sunsets, fun sunrise at the nearby peak and great snorkeling and kayaking (with free equipment provided by the hotel).
It’s definitely worth the 200 steps to get there
Perfect Getaway!!
Altamare Dive and Leisure Resort in Anilao, Batangas, is excellent for a getaway. The rooms are clean, and it's pet-friendly. The staff's friendliness shines, especially when they carry your luggage up the long stairway. The breathtaking view is perfect, and it's a paradise for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Highly recommended!
But make sure that you have enough patience to wait for dinner since it will take at least an hour before the food can be served. Glad that the restaurant service is still good. Worth to commend Ivy and Marie, crew from the restaurant.
Likewise, also recommended to have early morning dip on the pool since it’s really populated starting 9am.
Above all, still good!
We visited Altamare on May 13th, a weekday, which was perfect as it wasn't crowded. Booking a room was hassle-free, and we even received a free upgrade to a room with a balcony and stunning sea view!
Be prepared for a workout though: reaching the reception downstairs involves nearly 200 steps. It's manageable going down, but climbing back up, especially under the sun or when tired, is a true test of endurance.
We grabbed a light meal upon arrival. While the waiting time was reasonable, the prices were quite steep – an appetizer for almost ₱300 felt overpriced despite the beautiful setting.
Our room was clean, cozy, and beautifully lit, providing a very comfortable and restful night's sleep. The bathroom was well-equipped with all necessities.
Room inclusions like snorkeling and kayaking were fantastic. We enjoyed clear skies and a great view of colorful corals and fish while snorkeling. Breakfast was also included and decent. Evening beers, however, were again quite expensive.
Wi-Fi was generally okay, though it occasionally required troubleshooting. A smart TV in the rooms would significantly enhance the guest experience.
Overall, Altamare is an ideal spot for a quick getaway, with the swimming pool being a great bonus. I'd love to return, and next time we'll be better prepared. We hadn't realized food options were limited to the venue's pricey restaurant. On a positive note, the customer service was exceptional; the accommodating and polite staff truly enhanced our experience.
Perfect place for a retreat. Great service and the rooms are really nice. Kayaking and snorkeling are free of charge. The food is really good and not expensive. Breakfast is included! You can dive with an instructor or go island hoping with everything accommodated for you. A pool is available for everyone. I really enjoyed my stay!
