This resort has an amazing sunset view — I came here once and kept coming back because I was completely hooked. Watching the sunset while listening to the wind and the sound of the waves made me feel incredibly peaceful. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The rooms are decent, but the prices are definitely very competitive. What truly stands out is their sinigang soup and grilled chicken BBQ — hands down the best I’ve ever had!
A popular and well organized resort with great views, nice rooms and an excellent buffet for all meals. The hosts are very present and attentive. We had a nice stay here. One thing that didn't feel right was to pay for a boat we were told will take us to snorkel to Sombrero island but instead took us to a beach somewhere else where we snorkeled in the same conditions we could have done right in front of the resort(without having to pay 2-3000php).
Great: location/views, bed comfort, food, hosts
Could be improved: After spending 13k(room/food/boat trip) for a one night stay felt the communication about the boat trip should have been better explained, TV and internet (didn't work at all), A/C unit(v noisy), lamp was nice but the shade almost electrocuted us(needs to be checked!), a squeegee in the bathroom to keep floors dry and some hooks in the room would also be nice.
Overall a good experience
An excellent place for enjoying the sea of Phillipines. Anthony and family make all guests feel very welcome. They take personalized care of each guest. The food buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner is awesome. Jessica is very helpful. The location is unbelievable. The view of the sea is around 270° . They have experienced divers to give you an unforgettable experience. For me, the best part was the second floor deck with the view and the soothing sounds of the waves all the day
The hosts were warm and welcoming, the both of them were incredibly attentive and friendly. They made all of the guests (divers to nondivers) felt comfortable and well cared for. Anthony (one of the hosts) made sure to ask us (and I overheard him asking the other guests as well) if they had any allergies they should be made aware of as the resort offers a buffet style meal.
Speaking of the food, the dishes served were a true taste of the Philippines. Ten out of ten honestly.
The views of the sunset from the resort were amazing! Even in cloudy and thundery days it was beautiful. I wish I could have seen it when it was sunny. I think it would definitely live up to the resort name (rays if the sun).
Also, for those travelling with their furry friends, the resort is pet friendly, both cat and dogs are welcome.
Hosts are extraordinary. Filipino home cooked food is 5 star in quality and quantity. We were divers and were well treated by all stall. One power outlet hidden behind the bed is not sufficient to charge all the dive equipment.
