We spent a great long weekend in Aquaventure, a diving center in Mabini, a 2h drive from Manila airport. It is located in the middle of a range of diving spots, interesting for beginners or more experienced divers. The dive masters are so helpful and the atmosphere is very relaxed. You can even go kayaking or snorkeling from the house beach. Good food, nice rooms, a relaxing pool and great views of the sunset! Thank you Gen for organizing our second stay. We will visit again!
A Home Away from Home with World-Class Diving!
From the moment we arrived at Aquaventure Reef Club, we were treated not just as guests, but as family. The service was absolutely outstanding—every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. What truly set this experience apart was the warmth and personal attention we received from the owners themselves, who are also dive instructors, who took time to get to know us and made us feel genuinely welcome.
The food was consistently excellent, featuring a wonderful variety of Filipino dishes, always with 4-5 delicious options at every meal. Each dish was prepared with care and full of authentic local flavor.
The diving was phenomenal—truly some of the best we’ve ever done. The dive shop provided white-glove service, making everything effortless from setup to surface intervals. We immediately felt comfortable with Gen, the owner and an outstanding instructor. Her focus on safety and passion for continuous learning inspired us from Day 1 to complete our Nitrox certification—something we hadn’t even planned before arriving! We also dove with Mark, an exceptional divemaster whose keen eye for marine life and macro critters made every dive unforgettable. If you are a diver, you will appreciate that they have their own jet boats to take you to the dive sites. What will normally be a 45-minute to 1 hour boat ride is easily reached in 10 to 15 minutes with their boats saving you lots of travel time, and giving you more dive time. 🤿
To top it all off, the location is simply breathtaking, offering stunning ocean views and the most spectacular sunsets every evening.
Aquaventure Reef Club is more than just a resort—it’s a place where you arrive as a guest and leave as part of the family. We can’t wait to return!
It's like going home to a warm and cozy place after a long gruelling day outside. ☺️ Rooms are right sized, comfortable, everything you need is there. Interior and furnitures are authentically Filipino, sturdy and brings you back to the old, mundane and quiet. ❤️ Amazing how they kept the wood floors well-maintained! Bathrooms are newly renovated too which is a plus! We were met with bad weather during our stay so the heaters have been a huge help! Internet was stable, they have power generators and soft blankets! Haha! Cozy coffee shops near the resort. Oh, and dive shops nearby if you want to upgrade gear or just window shop! ☺️ So much to explore on top of the already many dive spots I still have to see! We were met with bad weather during the 2nd day of our stay (Signal no. 3!), but the resort's and crew's preparedness was old school but top-notch. We never felt unsafe, if anything, it's like being happily stuck at home with hot coffee and home-cooked meals! ❤️ Home cooked Filipino meals, customizable depending on your diet and preference. Just please tell the resort ahead if you have special requests so they can prepare. Hearty and generous servings too! Gen (Gin) and Tonic named after Ms. Gen is a must try! Just be ready to have a long and fun night when you get started haha! Not your usual luxury resorts but a standout in terms of overall service and warmth, Ms. Gen, and family, Razzell, Kuyas Jun, Ricky and Robert and the rest are like your closest friends. They're all professionals, Filipino hospitality at it's best. They're all super fun too, no dull moments with them. Can't wait to be back!
Ms. Gen, pls promise to bring me to all the other divespots! (I'll practice more with you before we do haha!) And we won't forget to bring more friends! 🥰 See you soon and more power to you and the Aquaventure Reef and Diving Club Resort and Team!
I went here with a friend who will have basic diving class and there was a storm! If you quiet place that makes you feel homey, this is it. The place was clean, they serve home cooked meals. Realiable internet(I worked for 2 days). And the staff were friendly (and knows how to have fun!). The owners were also welcoming to the guests. ❤️ try Gen' tonic. I need to go back to see the claimed beautiful sunset! And of course dive.
Was a pleasant surprise to find this place. Stayed here but didn’t dive here. But it all looked very nice till you see the room. The room was very basic and the bathroom was also very basic. I would have liked a shower with a bit more pressure and a bed that was a bit longer. But I liked the balcony. The only thing the resort needs is more signage. Arriving at night it was near impossible to figure where to go.
