Buceo Anilao Beach & Dive Resort

Where to begin! Right from the very start from our airport transfer to our last breakfast the whole experience with Buceo was exceptional. The resort is absolutely beautiful with plenty of areas for relaxation between dives as well as a lovely restaurant with delicious and reasonably priced food. We especially recommend the local food section of the menu with pork ribs, BBQ skewers, soups and vegetable dishes. Our room was perfect too with big comfortable beds and hot water shower, cold air-conditioning and an incredible sea view balcony. And now the diving... Our instructor Joy is a brilliant guide, one of the best we have ever had. We told him we want to photograph macro and he worked so hard to search and find us all the hard to see critters and he was still able to communicate seamlessly with the other instructors underwater so that we saw everything on the dive. The conditions and health of the reef were very good and as you can see from my photos the underwater life was world class. If you want exceptional value for money and world class macro diving then Buceo is the one!

Great dive resort, second trip here, this time for 15 nights. Fantastic diving and great dive operation. Only minus is that the land is steep and you may have a climb to your room, but you will get fit!

What a fantastic experience ! Very well-managed resort. Super professional diving centre with great equipment. We had an amazing dive master, Elmar, who knows the spots by heart and showed us tons of things. He also stayed long with us under water, really enabling us to consume all our air. Super helpful and kind boat team. And very nice reception, bar and restaurant teams. The atmosphere in this resort is super friendly and you feel at home and part of the family right upon your arrival. Well done Dave Santos and your teams !!! We hope to come back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Buceo Anilao. We stayed there in July -the weather was very good, only one day with some rain. Lots on sun. A family with one kid - 9 years old. We stayed there for a week. While we were diving every day, our son stayed at resort, reading books, playing at the swimming pool or just relaxing. We stay at an apartament with direct sea view. Wonderful sunrises in the morning from our balcony with a book and a cup of coffee. We had fullboard option: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was just great: every day something different, soups, sea food, meat, nice desserts. Food portions were too big for us :) Usually we had 3 dives a day: two moring and one afternoon. Night dive can also be done but we rather stayed at the bar. Rooms were well equipped, tidy, as well as bathroom. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Diving was MARVELLOUS: we only regreted that time passed underwater so fast. Not only is Anilao famous for small critters but there is also a wonderful coral reef. This is what we missed in Lembeh, for comparison. Resort is well equipped and very well managed. Camera room: every station has it's own air gun - VERY NICE. Towels and good lightning. Swimming pool was wonderful - much bigger than in other resorts in Anilao. For partents with kids it is important, so between dives we could relax in the swimming pool with our son. Diving guides: wow, that was fantastic - ratio was 1 dive guide for 2 divers - our dive guide Enzo was increadibly helpful. Especially with underwater photography - he was non stop finding something interesting and assisting with snoot - very nice to have such a person underwater to help you in your photography. All dive guides are well educated - professionals. Dives were long, 60 min and more, there was no hurry underwater. Also, our big thank you goes to Erik: we have never ever met such a helpful man. Erik is also an underwater photo master, sharing his experience to all guests. His knowledge was incredible. He even took as for a village tour. What we also liked about Anilao- no mosquitoes! We are from Europe, and flight connection was very good, only one fly transfer in Dubai. From Manila airport there is about 2 hours to get to resort. If you are looking for amazing dive trip, Buceao in Anilao is your choice ! For sure, we will come back next year.

We spent 10 days here at the beginning of March as a group. Our dive guides were excellent, spotted loads of things we would have just swum over. They also made sure that everyone had a chance to see what they wanted to. Our guide would show me one thing then show others something else, knowing that my interests differed, this was much appreciated. The boat crews were excellent, friendly and helpful, taking good care of us. All the staff were hard working, caring and friendly. The food was excellent. We had a room near the top of the hill, great exercise!! though my knees did complain a bit lol. Would highly recommend this dive centre to anyone. Just the right balance of diving and relaxing. We didn't feel the need to go anywhere else.
