Our perfect tropical escape – Bahay Lian! My husband and I are based in Berlin, Germany, and we always look forward to coming home to the Philippines for a well-deserved break. This year, we discovered Bahay Lian in Lian, Batangas—and we’re so happy we did! We’ve officially found our yearly getaway spot for birthdays or Christmas holidays. The house is spacious, clean, and beautifully styled with a warm, tropical vibe that instantly puts you in vacation mode. The rooms are cozy, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a full day under the sun. The pool was definitely a highlight—crystal-clear, inviting, and surrounded by nature. It became our favorite place to unwind and enjoy quiet moments together with family. What truly made the experience extra special was the incredible hospitality. Maribel, her husband, and the rest of the staff were so kind, helpful, and accommodating. They took care of every detail and made us feel completely at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful escape just a few hours from Manila, we highly recommend Bahay Lian. We’re already planning our return—this place is now part of our family tradition. ✨🥰✨

We loved everything about Bahay Lian. - Booking was seemless and straightforward - The place was gorgeous and well designed. It had 5 rooms with individual T&Bs each, and a powder room. - The amenities were very good: towels, sheets, utensils, are what you’ll find in a high end resort. - The activities that you could do included: billiards, swimming, cards, bonfire, kayaking, etc. - Amazing was that they let us send off 2 turtles back to sea. They nurtured the turtles since they were babies and when ready, are guided to return to the sea. - Best of all, are the staff who were always present to help, market and cook for us. They were tireless, always smiling and anticipated our needs. (Thank you Maribel, Alyssa the best cook, Chris, and co.) Thank you Bahay Lian. We will surely return.

We had the most amazing time at Bahay Lian in Batangas for my sister's birthday—and it was extra special because it was also my 8th month baby's first time there! Although a little bit far-- a 3 hour drive from Manila, traffic was not so bad going there. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had our very own private 5-star resort. The house is beautifully designed, with posh and luxurious furniture, and every detail was thoughtfully planned—from the toiletries and beach towels to the portable speakers, WiFi, karaoke, and board games. The staff, especially Ate Alyssa and Ate Maribel, were incredibly warm and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and the complimentary local kakanin and fresh buko juice were such a delightful touch! The pool was amazing and had direct and easy access to the beach, making it perfect for both relaxation and fun. One of the biggest highlights was the surprise turtle release they prepared for us—such a magical and unforgettable experience! And to top it all off, Bahay Lian offered THE BEST home-service massage. The masseuses were so amazing that we ended up booking massages for both days—pure bliss! Bahay Lian also had ample parking space and a comfortable staff house for our drivers and nannies, which made the trip even more convenient for our family. Overall, it was a fun and chill vacation—we loved every moment and can't wait to go back! 💙🌊✨

Bahay Lian — The Best Accidental Booking Ever! Our stay at Bahay Lian was, hands down, the best accidental booking ever! From the planning stage all the way to check-out, everything was seamless and thoughtfully arranged. The manager and staff were incredibly easy to talk to, always making sure we had everything we needed! We celebrated a quick birthday weekend with family—including two babies—and it was absolutely perfect! As a sweet surprise, the staff provided snacks and fresh buko juice upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. Fully Equipped for the Best Staycation with amazing beach access! This place had EVERYTHING: ✔ Karaoke ✔ Board games for ✔ A fancy pool table ✔ Super-fast WiFi ✔ Poker chips ✔ Shot glasses, whiskey glasses, and wine glasses for the perfect night in ✔ A vinyl record player & ✔ Big portable speaker we could bring to the pool! The staff went the extra mile to buy fresh meat, seafood, and vegetables to grill for us! The architecture of Bahay Lian was stunning! Every room had its own toilet and bath, complete with amenities and a blow dryer—a rare find! The bed configuration was also perfect for our family, making our stay super comfortable. One of the best parts? The direct beach access! The black fine sand was clean and we even got to use their stand-up paddleboard. But the absolute highlight of our stay was getting to release baby turtles into the ocean! They have a small turtle sanctuary by the pool, which made the experience truly unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back and hope to stay longer!
