From the outset the differences with The Lily of Batangas and other properties you can hire was the amazing Tina, manager of the property. Tina was hilarious, expeditious, always one step ahead of anything we needed. Her family was great as were canines.
Yes getting to Batangas is a 3-4hr trip on a good day but if you have a group of 20-40 people then the Lily will easily cater.
The pool was beautiful, and there is Karoke for $1400 PHP.
Ian, Tina deserves a raise.....
It was my family's first time to go on a vacay since the pandemic started and The Lily was perfect for it. It was better than what I've seen in the pictures...beautiful interiors, especially the paintings and sculptures, an organized and complete kitchen, pool water was comfortably warm, staff was friendly, strict rules on where you may eat and drink but this is the price you pay to have the place clean, internet is available outside the house, pool-side. Two thumbs up! 🌷
Well appointed mini villa with lots of art works and well maintained facilities. Swimming pool is very clean. It can accomodate 12 to 15 adults. Beds are good. Aircon is very good. Almost complete kitchen and dinning utensils with a perculator for lots of hot water/coffee. The ref is big enough for a group of 10+. Well secured area and the people living in the neighborhood are very friendly and accomodating. It is about a minute or two away from the beach. Parking for 5 to 8 cars. Perfect place to escape from the mayhem of Metro Manila. At less than 20k pesos per day, it is a steal!
Spent a day and a half in this lovely and cozy place called The Lily Batangas. There's no internet provided, no tv. And there's a sliver of land where you can get Smart 3G data and Globe edge but don't bank on it. You stay here to disconnect from the world and to actually talk to people you are with. Or read a book. The pool was warm and nice to swim in though it gets really deep fast! 6 feet deep! No, my swimming skill will not save me yet from such depths... so i stayed on the 4-feet part of the pool and realized that my swimming legs have already practically disappeared... gotta go back to the pool!!! Anyway, try it out and experience the place for yourself. You can bring raw food and cook or you can ask them to buy ingredients for you and the staff and actually do the cooking. You just have to tell them in advance.
We enjoyed our stay at The Lily, the caretakers are very accomodating. Kung anong nakapost sa website nilang pictures yun din ang itsura sa personal, maybe even better. The whole house is very clean when we arrived, the caretakers helped us with what we needed (ex. charcoal, drinking water, etc.). The way the house was designed looks incredible, there were artworks hanging on the wall and 1displays on the tables and drawers. The pool is clean, the beach though, when we went there and I saw trash, like diapers and wrappers, but, of course it's not their fault, just felt the need to include it here. What I didn't like is, the lights in the rooms were too dim, we stayed on the room upstairs, and it only has 1 light (aside from the light from the bathroom) on the corner of the ceiling (far from the bed), it was dimmed and yellow. I suggest they should add a brighter light in the middle of the room, but it's just my opinion. Overall, it was still a good vacation, away from the stress of Manila. If we get the chance, we might come back.
