from the outside the hotel is beautiful but the rooms are very simple, toilet and shower a bit dirty and mouldy, and to our big regret the no hot water. Not even drinking water in the rooms. For the price you pay, it is very bad!
The rooms have big windows, that allow beautiful light into the rooms, but as the balcony serves as walking area from and to the other rooms, you have no privacy unless you put the curtains, but then you don't benefit of the nice view.
We were told at the reservation, not possible to get an extra mattress for our daughter and was forced to get an extra room because - and i quote - "max 2 people were allowed per room!" Arriving in the room, there was a big sign (in both rooms) saying extra bed 600 php. Also in the room besides us 7 people were staying throughout the whole weekend, so no need to say we felt badly treated.
The staff are kind but were not very efficient - for 4400 per night I would expect more training of the staff. But they did what they could. I would give the staff more stars, but reservation staff were really bad.
The place and location is a bit in a secluded area. Google maps pointed us a way where it was very muddy and has many deep and big potholes. because of that our car got damaged.
We had a great time at this place!
My family and I spent 3D2N here. The place is around 2 hours away from south of Metro Manila so it’s really near and accessible.
I especially liked that they have ramps going to the rooms so it’s pwd-friendly. It can do better if they have ramps in the restaurant and they have grab bars inside the toilets.
The room was clean and smelled insanely good - I almost didn’t want to leave my room during the whole stay! The toilet was okay, but was smaller than usual toilet and the water smelled a bit (maybe deep well).
The place itself was very scenic - an infinity pool, surrounded by well-maintained greeneries, and an expansive view of the sea and the beach. Their beach area isn’t ideal for swimming especially due to the low tide but it’s a good walking experience in the morning out into the deeper parts.
Their restaurant is simple and located by the pool and sea, so it’s relaxing. Surprisingly, it’s not as breezy as expected but they have big fans at disposal. They have a good selection of food, and can also make adjustments at requesr (ex my dad requested for steamed fish, or to replace pork with chicken in his chopsuey due to dietary requirements).
The pool is instagrammable and is cleaned every day, yet we still caught it dirty several times - with sand, with floating oily debris - but we’d ask the pool guy to clean up, which they quickly do.
Aside from the relaxing ambience, the place should take pride on its staff - Jaja from the front desk was very welcoming and accommodated several of my dad’s request due to his special condition (pwd). The pool boy and the restaurant staff were also very attentive and always served with a smile. For this reason, they really deserved a generous tip.
The staffs are very accomodating and their dishes are at affordable prices. The shore isn't their best asset as it usually low tide in the area but the rooms, garden and dinning area are very clean. The rooms are also spacious. The pool just needs a little cleaning as there are fine sand/dust floating around. But generally, this is a very nice place to chill and bond with your family.
Like many beach resorts in Batangas, this too had seen its prime. The seawater is not conducive to swimming but is relatively cleaner than Matabungkay. Despite being managed by Cocotel, our group found a lot of things wanting in this hotel. On the plus side, the rooms are very spacious. Most importantly, you can have privacy here since it's not at all crowded. During our visit, we were the only guests and we had the pool all to ourselves. Staff are also very friendly and accommodating.
