White & Yellow Castle Hotel and Resort

We were looking forward to a relaxing hotel stay, but unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. If we had wanted a transient setup, we would have booked one. But this was advertised as a proper hotel, and the reality was disappointing and frustrating. When we arrived, we were exhausted, only to find that there was no electricity. The air-conditioning wasn’t turned on until nearly 5 PM, even though check-in was at 1 PM. Later that night, the electricity went out again while we were asleep, which disrupted our rest. The room had a large cockroach, the toilet flush wasn’t working, and the shower water was salty, clearly drawn from beach sources with no hot or cold water option. There was no running water at all when we got there, and we had to resort to swimming in the pool just to cool down. Basic amenities like toiletries weren’t provided automatically, we had to request everything. There was also no lighting in the common areas, and the actual condition of the place didn’t match the photos online. At best, it felt more like a neglected storage space than a hotel. While the menu seemed extensive, most food items were unavailable, and yet there were signs warning guests not to bring their own food or drinks due to corkage fees. You’ll likely struggle to get food. Thankfully, we clarified with staff in the evening and were allowed to bring some, as there were barely any options available. This place is not ideal for guests without private transportation, as food access is limited and the location is isolated. While the surroundings are naturally serene and the location has potential, the cleanliness and service level were extremely poor. The air-conditioning was loud (comparable to an ambulance) and barely cooled the room. The surrounding area was also oddly flooded despite the hot, sunny weather, making it even more uncomfortable. We had hoped to create good memories but ended up leaving early due to the discomfort. It’s disappointing to see such a beautiful property so poorly maintained. Charging an extra 600 on top of regular rates for a sea view under these conditions feels unreasonable. The staff were generally kind, but not very accommodating and lacked urgency in addressing concerns. This place could be amazing if it significantly improves its service standards and maintains its facilities properly.

The white castle calatagan beach was a scam and not what they says it was. The aircon is not cooling and all plugs were broken. We transferred rooms 2 times and the manager is not checking the rooms before they transfer the guests. This is the worst beach we ever went. Price is not worth it. The owner was even worst and not repairing and managing the place. They do it intentionally and when we confronted them, they just make alibis. Dont book this place please........The road is also very small and can't drive to go inside the beach. Its hazzle. The wifi was not working well and always down. They dont provide glass in the bathroom, no shower gel and the bar soap is very small. We paid 2300 per night for a very poor custoler service. The receptionist is not helpful and not explaining everything to the guests. You need to ask the wifi and everything you need. The bed was not good and not comfortable to sleep in. They dont provide duvet at all. The tv has only 1 channel and no other options to choose from. We ordered pansit and when it was served, it was not cooked well and not cooked fine and it plakked together. They put extension cord coz all plugs were broken. The sink in the bathroom and shower were dirty with white spots all over the sink and not cleaned well by the house keeping. The water in the bathroom is not running well and almost no water coming out coz they lower the pressure of the water. We are very much stressed, unsatisfied and unhappy in this place. When I confronted the lady owner she says, she dont know about this and just came from abroad. So guys, please dont book in this place coz its definitely a scam. Your money is not worth it. Better to book in sogo than this place. They definitely dont care about their guests. Checked our photos.

Really great service by the staff they go out of their way to make sure you are happy. It's at a beach front ⛱️ but it's definitely not a white sand Beach area and on a Very quiet but safe part..The design or architecture of the White Castle is most definitely worth a day visit if nothing else it's beautiful and the rooms are big and comfortable the food available is also Very tasty..I love the locals getting fresh fish from the sea and it's cooked right after that was delicious. It was great! The room was pretty mid, the lighting could be improved but other than how dim it was, the room was good enough. Wifi could be better too, mine barely worked when we were there. The beachfront was probably the best part for me, as well as how quiet it was when we went there. Though the streets to the hotel was pretty tight so expect to drive slow in the streets, there were a lot of residents that were on the roads especially kids.

Overall, it's a good experience 🤗💯 We've enjoyed our stay here even though it's just overnight. Everything went smoothly when we arrived here & it's thanks to the staff + the people in the parking lot. Food is great & quality matches its pricing. Rooms are clean also the bathroom which is equipped with toiletries. Beach is on par matabungkay so don't get down by that it's much cleaner & not crowded.
