Layolayo Beach Cove Resort

A just ok no frills kind of resort. If you want a specific cottage, you need to rent it. Room was just ok. Beds were comfy but the extra bed was not. We were expecting at least same quality of extra bed since we paid 1K per night on that but it was too thin that you can feel the floor on your back. Very disappointing. The room assigned to us doesn't even have ventilation on their comfort room. The wifi they provided was barely usable. Area on this part have very poor data connection.

Staff are approachable. Free breakfast is a fantastic perk and staff remind customers if they're about to skip the allotted time-frame for breakfast. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff starting from the parking attendant, front desk, security, maintenance and room cleaners were kind and very accommodating.

Not recommended. Co-guests are rowdy and annoying at that time we visited. Everyone just blasts their own speakers at full volume even if magkakalapit lang ng tables. Pool is not well maintained, dirty, and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time due to the quality of the water. Rooms are mid. Public showers and toilets are dirty too, pero clean naman yung nasa loob ng rooms. I would recommend if hindi maselan sa environment. But if you want to relax and enjoy the serene beach, then this is not the resort for you. Also no signal and WIFI isn’t usable at all. We were informed that there is signal and WIFI is available during chat, only to find out there na it’s not working. The receptionist was even hesitant to give us the WIFI password lol. We would’ve appreciated if this was communicated to us in an honest manner.

The Staff is very accommodating. The resort has its own parking area. The room is fantastic, they also have their own canteen serving until dinner time. Plenty of chairs to sit by the shore. The payment method is very flexible and they also accept credit cards and gcash. What we kind of do not like is that there are other people roaming around who are from other resorts that are so noisy so hopefully they can get security to maintain the serenity of the beach. Sadly the beach water is very murky, I can no longer see what's underneath nor if there are fishes swimming, bits of trash by other tourist can be seen floating. We hope that the environmental fee paid for entering Brgy Calayo will result in the immediate cleaning and maintaining of the Beaches.

Date of visit: May 24-25 This is just a 2-3hour drive from metro manila. The road leading to this resort has a superb view of the mountains. This resort is located beachfront, has a parking lot for cars and motorcycles. Sari-sari stores are within the vicinity just in case you forgot to bring some essentials with you. The staff are very accommodating. We reserved thru facebook and they are very responsive ( 50% downpayment is needed to reserve the room thru bank transfer). The standard check in time is 2pm, check out 12nn the following day. They give wristbands which has to be worn at all times for security purposes. They have a 1000php security deposit upon check in which will be refunded when you check out.
