Zac’s Shack

Stayed September 26 - September 27 (1 Night) Our Go To Resort in Calayo, Nasugbu Since our first stay here last 2022, we always visit this resort once a year. We are so fond of this resort that we actually brought our parents and friends to stay here on separate occasions. Rooms The room was clean and recently renovated. The AC was working and the room was already cool when we walked in. They have already provided a mini refrigerator inside the room. Aside from that, they have also upgraded their TVs to smart ones. There is a power socket on the side table. Complete toiletries were provided. Amenities Their pool is large enough to accommodate their guest. It is divided into the kiddie pool, a wading pool, the main pool and the Jacuzzi. There are lounge chairs provided around the pool area. They also have a pool shade that can be deployed when it is too sunny. You should visit the pool during the evening when it becomes more aesthetic because of the pool lighting. They have an inhouse restaurant that serves Filipino Food with a wide variety of options. For me, it was fairly priced because of its ample serving. They will approach you ahead of time if you want to eat at their restaurant. The staff literally went to the beach to find us and asked if we want to order ahead. You can also choose what time you want it to be served. I really appreciated this service since it eliminates the waiting time when you order on the spot meaning more time is spent on enjoying your vacation. They have provided a wooden platform along the beachfront where you can set your beach chair down and enjoy the view. I prefer putting the beach chair directly on the sand though so I can feel it with my feet. During our previous stays, several large beach umbrellas were set up at the beach exclusively for resort guests but during our recent visit it was not there so we just assumed it was because there was a typhoon a day before our stay and they just forgot to return them. It was not that sunny that day so it was not a big deal but we would have appreciated if it was there. Service All the staff are very attentive and welcoming. I noticed that most if not all of the staff during our first visit (2022) are still the same persons they have now. For me, it says that the management is doing a good job of taking care of them. All the staff seem to love what they are doing and they value their job translating to a better service provided to the guest. I appreciated the fact that they keep on improving their service and amenities making your stay better than your previous visit. I am looking forward to bring a different batch of friends to this resort.

Referred by a friend and didn't regret our decision to choose this beach hotel/resort! The entire fam enjoyed and we'll definitely be back next year! .. and it's a huge plus when the whole staff is friendly, welcoming, and truly accommodating. ♥

This was our first visit to Nasugbu, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay at Zac’s Shack for an overnight getaway. As a family of four, including two senior citizens, we arrived without a prior reservation, yet our walk-in was warmly welcomed. We opted for the Poolside View, and given the price compared to neighboring resorts, it was an excellent choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—from greeting us at the gate to assisting with check-in. While we waited for housekeeping to finish preparing our room, they promptly took our lunch order. With exceptional service, hospitality, and cleanliness, our stay at Zac’s Shack exceeded expectations. Since there were no other guests checked in at the time, we had the entire place to ourselves, making the experience even more special. We are already looking forward to making Zac’s Shack our go-to staycation spot whenever we visit the Philippines. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all my friends and family. The entire resort is well-maintained with each room being very spacious and clean. The free plated breakfast was simple but honestly, it was just right especially when you consider the quality of the rooms, the level of service, and the very reasonable rate per night. The peaceful ambiance, attention to detail and overall comfort made our stay truly worthwhile, thanks to the staffs who were incredibly hospitable and kind. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and budget-friendly getaway.

We had an overall wonderful time at Zac's Shack. The entire staff was commendable, they were very accommodating to the various requests we had, especially when it came to special diet preferences. Everything was perfect and the staff tried to solve any small hiccups we had throughout the stay. The beach was also very clean with fine brown sand and good waves. They also had a great jacuzzi and pool although we spent most of our time on the beach since the waves were quite enjoyable. Would definitely recommend staying here!
