Banwa Private Island

My partner and I came to Banwa for our Honeymoon. Getting there was expensive and time consuming, but it was totally worth it. We were never bored on the island - not only are the views and scenery breath-taking, but there are relaxing activities on the island. We played billiards, darts, pitch & putt golf, and went kayaking. There are also more adventurous excursions like scuba diving, cave exploring, etc. but we are more lazy-going. The service at Banwa is very client-focused. They will do anything for the customer if it's within their power. They even procured a dart board and set it up in the Meridian when we asked about it! The food was also a major focus point. The chef and pastry chefs make fantastic meals with high-end and fresh ingredients. I was not expecting fresh baked chocolate croissants every morning, but they were the best I've ever had. We're already planning our next return trip!

Our family’s trip to Banwa Island was nothing short of magical, and we can’t stop raving about it! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality blew us away—every staff member greeted us with genuine smiles that made us feel instantly at home. One person who truly stood out was Nanny MJ, an absolute gem with a heart of gold. She cared for our kids like they were her own. Her nurse training gave us such peace of mind, especially for me as a naturally panicky mom. Thanks to MJ, I felt completely safe and worry-free, allowing me to relax and enjoy the trip to the fullest. What made the trip truly special were the countless first-time memories. Making pizzas with Master Chef Martin and Jian’s patient guidance was a delicious adventure for the kids. They were thrilled extracting honey, buzzing with excitement as they learned the process. Catching their first fish was what they’ll talk about for years, and the pickleball matches had us all laughing and cheering. The eco-farming visit was another first, opening their eyes to sustainable living in the most fun way. The sandbank experience was a highlight we’ll never forget. Sipping perfectly mixed cocktails at just the right moment, in such a rare and breathtaking setting, felt like pure magic. And stargazing the Milky Way from the sandbank? Absolutely unmatched—nothing compares to that view. Even though we're not a diving family, despite the island’s fame for world-class diving at Tubbataha Reef Natural Park, the snorkeling was so incredible that we didn’t miss a thing. Banwa island truly has something for everyone, and we left with hearts full of unforgettable memories. Banwa island gave us family moments that we’ll cherish forever, making it a once-in-a-lifetime adventure we’ll always hold dear.

We spent a week at this exclusive resort, thank you to Janet, Al, Chef, and the rest of the staff (including Cathy in Manila)— they really made our vacation so memorable. Facilities are 5-star, food by Chef and his crew is just fantastic. Activities are a-plenty, activities staff were great. We went out on one of the boats several times (included in the package), including scuba diving in nearby sites. Overall just a wonderful experience.

Everything was absolutely amazing. From the service on the van that picked us up to the airport, to the boat, to the welcoming committee on the dock when we arrived on the island, it was all very good. The staff were very helpful and gracious, they accommodated all our needs and were all very pleasant. Each villa was so beautiful and comfortable, well updated and very complete with everything you need. The food was nothing short of spectacular, every dish served to us (even the bread baskets) were so delicious. The chef was truly talented. The recreational activities kept us busy and the staff were always there to help us or teach us, and always ready with cold water and cold towels. 10/10 one of the best islands and vacations we've been too. Perfect for groups of people or families who want to relax and do some beach activities. You won't be disappointed. We were so sad to leave as they made us feel very at home and we loved all the staff. Would highly recommend

🌴🏝️Best resort we've ever stayed in. Yes you will be paying top dollar, but you will get a top of the line unique experience. We stayed at North East Principal Villa that had an unbelievable beach view. The island itself had so many little natural wonders to explore. It was clear that every detail of your stay was carefully designed and executed flawlessly by the staff. Al, our amazing island host, was so attentive to our needs and requests. She felt like a friend who truly cared, big or small. Kaka, our excellent diving coach, gave us an eye-opening introduction to diving (we were total beginners) and explored the beautiful reefs around the island. And the executive chef (apologies for forgetting his name) along with 4-5 other chefs and Sally gave us a tour for our taste buds, cooking a different Asian country every night. The food was for sure a highlight. When we left, it was an emotional experience as it felt like we were saying goodbye to good friends. We will for sure remember this experience for the rest of our lives, thank you Banwa!
