You won't find high-end luxury hotels here, but you won't miss anything in the service department. You can find everything from a backpackers hostel for $12 or $13 American, or stay in a beachfront resort for a little over $50 USD per night. That's about 3,000 pesos for the most expensive thing around here. You can easily find accommodations with air condition and a private bathroom for 1,500 pesos. I'm choosing to spend 2 days just walking up and down the beach and enjoying my nice waterfront cottage and fabulous food. Perhaps later I'll have a massage right there on the beach where the sounds of the waves are real, not a recording played over a stereo. There are loads of tours for everyone 's needs and desires, lots of bars, lots and lots of bars. I'm 60 years old, and I feel like the old fart in the neighborhood, lots of younger travelers. This place has a very laid-back feel, although the main Street is rather busy and loud, but nothing like the big city of Cebu or Manila of course. In fact, I don't feel in danger of being run over by a vehicle on these roads. I've decided to rent a motorcycle and hire a guide to take me around and show me the places where tourists don't normally go. Dan is the man to contact for a taller and proper motorcycle capable of some off-roading, not a scooter. Can't remember the name of his shop, but it's just towards the beach from where all the Vans let out. I'm sure you can just ask for Dan the motorcycle guy and you'd find him.

I was 2 days ago,most of the accomodations dont exist anymore,complitely destroy by the typhon.rest some hotelsin concrete very expensive.80%of the beautiful jungle around destroy.same for san vicente no 1 accomodation.the forest is destroy from puerto to san vincente.i have live 1 year 5 years ago in barton,its very sade,people there no jobs,and some no more houses.better go el nido,or south palawan,spalawan still jungle and no tourist,inexploited.beautiful.el nido very expensive.bizness place.
