Sulyap is truly an exceptional dining experience in San Pablo, Laguna. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious — from the appetizers to the main courses, the flavors were rich, authentic, and satisfying.
What makes this place even more special is the ambiance. The restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored ancestral home, making you feel like you’re stepping back in time. It's cozy, charming, and full of character — perfect for a quiet meal or a special occasion.
It’s also very accessible and easy to locate via Google Maps, so finding it won’t be a problem even for first-timers.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great Filipino food in a unique, heritage-inspired setting.
We visited Sulyap to celebrate my husband’s birthday and treated my in-laws to lunch. They were quite impressed with the food and ambiance. It was great to try traditional Filipino dishes, even ones we weren’t very familiar with. However, manage your expectations when it comes to portion sizes. You might want to order extra if you're a big group to make sure everyone is well-accommodated. Still, the heritage setting and overall vibe make for a charming dining experience. The ambiance is lovely, classic and nostalgic, which adds to the unique character of the place. It was a great experience for both kids and adults, offering a chance to be immersed in Philippine architecture and culture. Sulyap truly gives you a meaningful peek into the past through its food, surroundings, and atmosphere. A nice spot if you're looking for something uniquely local and culturally rich.
We stopped by for lunch and it looks like they’re also a BnB, the grounds has a tropical garden which is lush and well tended. There is also a coffee shop called Bean Tower I tried the Spanish Latte it was a tad sweet but good. We had two kinds of pancit hab-hab which is good
and guisado option was bland. The boneless bangus was fresh, the pork barbecue was well seasoned.and the bistek was also good. Not a fan of the sisig it was pedestrian at best. All in all it’s highly recommended
Been here multiple times, me amd my then girlfriend now wife use to come here alot, we love the food, coffee and ambiance, a very classic place, will take you back on time, very noatalgic and romantic. Amd now we have a 3 year old child, who also enjoying the place with us.
