As we prepare to have our lunch, we observe numerous flies in the vicinity. I am uncertain about their source.
There is limited parking available, and the road leading to the resort accommodates only one vehicle at a time.
The staff members are pleasant and accommodating, and the environment is quiet and secure.
Stayed here during a company's teambuilding event. Was not expecting much about the place but still got disappointed anyway. A bit tricky to find the entrance to the resort as you have to pass through a very narrow street. Bigger cars might have difficulties going inside. Parking is limited so make sure to be there early. Upon arriving at the room, the staff was still cleaning and didn't tell us that we could already come in when she left. That's the only interaction I had with their staff. Room was awful. No ventilation whatsoever. The sole window seem to be covered by paper so no natural light is coming in the room. Room was clean though. Perhaps a tad bit too clean as the room only contains the two bed. No side table, no tv, not even a trash bin in sight. For the rate given to us, its very displeasing. The toilet doesn't look clean at all. Tiny space, no trash bin plus the mirror is broken which is a safety hazard (see the pic). The water that is coming out of the plumbing reeks so bad! Might not be safe to use as a gargle. Bring lots of bottled water. No toiletries given as well (towels, tissue, soap, small toothpaste) which makes staying at motels even better. Food was meh. Rice was not cooked properly and the veggies served were almost close to being raw you could almost taste the soil where it was harvested. Even if it was a buffet setup, the choices were mediocre. The sound system provided for the event was so bad that we wished we just used China-made speakers. Next day, the transition with the next guests were not smooth as some of the newly arrived guests started to knock at some of the company occupied rooms and it was not even 12noon. The admin lacks capabilities to run a resort as they don't communicate properly with the team. For me, the only good thing here is the beach.
BETTER CHECK SOMEWHERE ELSE! Our family went here for family outing we were 29 adults plus 5 children, to our surprise no parking spaces designated to us. We still have to convince the management that they should at least give us 3 parking spaces as we came as a group. I realized the resort accommodate lots of people on the day we came. Most of them are day tourists, however it seems that it was more than the capacity of the resort. The resort was not so big compared to the people that need to utilize the area on that day. The beach has lots of stones, big and small. U better buy aqua shoes if you choose to swim. Our room was upstairs, the floor is like wooden, you will feel every time someone is walking. So it was difficult to sleep at night as some of the guest were still awake and kept on moving. Our stay was inconvenient, as we need to ask them every now and then for the things we need. There was no kitchen near our rooms. The fridge that we were expecting to keep our food fresh was not provided. There was too much chaos when we arrived. It seems that they were very unorganized and the staff doesn’t know what to do. There was no trash bin in the comfort rooms. We paid them 30k for the stay and yet the stay was so inconvenient. We were happy that our family was able to celebrated easter together but not so happy about the resort and the facilities. In my own opinion, it was expensive compared to what the resort can offer. When we arrived our rooms were not ready. The beds were not enough for the number of people. The rooms were small. We still have to asked them for tables to use for the food as initially there was nothing. The housekeeping were still cleaning the rooms because the previous guests came out late. So we told them we may leave late also because we were accommodated late. But still we were asked to leave the premises on time no considerations. You better check other places that can provide a better service with better facilities. Walk a bit more and you’ll find the Kalaiyaan Coast Resort after the Kabayan Resort. The place is new and offers beautiful rooms and space. They were still on their soft opening at the moment so I think you can only dine in at the restaurant unless you were invited for a free overnight stay. But their food and service is superb !!!! You will surely get what you paid for! They also have swimming pools. They will open soon I guess! Going back, the management of Laiya Riviera should take note of this feedback if they want to provide a better service in the future. It’s not always about the money but it’s about the memories you can share or give to your customers that will make your business going forward.
No parking space. Management are not organized. Rooms were unprepared but we were asked to leave on time the next day without considerations. No tables still need to ask for one as well as water dispenser. No fridge even they said there would be. Rooms upstairs floor is noisy. No kitchen beside our rooms. No trash bin. No tv, no pool. Beach has lots of big stones that might injure swimmers. Disorganized staff. Not safe.
We were looking for a beachfront hotel location that could accommodate our need to bring in food for a family member with strict dietary requirements, and Laiya Riviera fit the bill. Their staff had been very attentive to our requests and were within easy reach at the nearby admin office or by phone anytime (special thanks to Grace). Breakfast was modest Filipino meals that were decent and served hot and on time (between 7:30 and 8:00 am). They were able to provide cooking amenities which enabled us to save money by not eating out too much. The beach has a very long coastline with picturesque landscapes allowing us to take IG-worthy memorable pictures. Though there were lots of people at the beach as it was the height of the summer season, the beach is wide enough to accommodate everyone without bumping into each other. My daughter was even able to learn a few basic swimming strokes and enjoyed dipping in the water. Downsides: beach water was not so clear and lots of rocks under the water hurt the feet; entry to the hotel was through narrow streets though once inside the hotel perimeters, they had ample shaded parking spaces, lots of trees and along with the rustic setting, bugs too. They had gated entrance to the beach and there was security 24 hours. Room was clean, came with clean bed linens and towels. It was hard to keep the sand out of the room and the t/b. We had some issues with the water clogging in the bathroom but they were able to fix it on day 2. Accommodation was a bit pricey at 11k for 3d/2n stay in a room for 4 persons considering that we booked more than a month ahead, and I did not like it that they had to charge the room fees 100 percent outright at point of online booking, without an option for partial payment. It was overall a great experience for our family.
