RSAM Beach Resort by Cocotel

We’re so glad we found this humble resort! Our toddler enjoyed the calm waves and low tide during the morning. Their pool is big and could go as deep as 5’. The resort has a great view of the sunset and the shallow bay really was the best for our kid. We walked around and found out that the resort’s beachfront was the best as the waves are calmer and the water was shallow. During low tide there is a bit of a “sand bar” type of platform and we enjoyed playing with sand there as well. The resort staff were nice, friendly and attentive. They are always smiling and would tend to our requests right away. Our only feedback were the rooms had mosquitoes and the lights needed upgrades. Other than those, our room had a great view of the sea! We’re definitely going back for our dose of Vitamin Sea!

We booked a triple room hoping for a relaxing vacation, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite stressful. Upon check-in, we noticed that the bidet in our bathroom was leaking. To avoid wasting water, we immediately informed one of the staff. While it was fixed at first, we encountered another problem: the air conditioning wasn't cooling properly. We requested an electric fan, but were told it would only be available at night after the restaurant closed, which was quite inconvenient. Around 6:30 PM, after spending time at the beach and pool, we went to the resort’s restaurant to have dinner. Just as we settled in and placed our orders, one of the staff members approached us to inform us that our room was flooding. Apparently, the earlier bidet repair was faulty, causing water to overflow from our second-floor room down to the ground floor. There was no maintenance staff readily available, so it took a long time for anyone to respond. Meanwhile, our room was flooded, and nothing was done to clean up the mess right away. When we requested to be transferred to another room, the staff initially refused because only more expensive rooms were available. We had to insist, explaining how disruptive and unacceptable the situation was, especially since we were on vacation and this incident caused a lot of stress. All the while, our food got cold, and the staff failed to handle the issue properly. They also refused to let us speak with a manager. After much back-and-forth, we were finally allowed to transfer to another room—but still, no staff assisted us in moving our belongings. At that point, we had no other option since nearby resorts were fully booked. What was most disappointing is that there was no sincere apology, no manager intervention, and no effort from the staff to make up for the inconvenience—no compensation, no goodwill gesture, not even proper assistance. Overall, this stay was a letdown, and I hope the resort seriously improves its customer service and maintenance response in the future.

I like this resort , well maintained and clean pool and cottages. The location is in front of the beach. 300 entrance fee and 3k for open cottages.

The hotel is a bit dated. But it's clean. Affordable and staff are friendly.

The RSAM facility was decent but the internet is very bad slow and weak signal. Phone signal, does not exist, it was dead spot.The beach was very disappointment very dirty and the locals have this environmental fee of 30 per person
