We thoroughly enjoyed our two-day stay at your hotel. We honestly didn't expect much, anticipating the beach would be deluged by folks taking advantage of the long weekend, but we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overcrowded. One of the restaurants is currently undergoing renovation, which made the food choices quite limited. However, this only made us look forward to the delicious breakfast buffet each morning. While the Italian dishes were quite pricey for their portion size, we hope to see an improvement in the eggplant parmigiana and the pizza. For families, it might be better to dine at the Filipino restaurant, where we absolutely loved the bibingka—please be sure to try it! The wait staff recommended the nilupak, but unfortunately, we ran out of time. My favorite part of this trip was the huge pond in the middle of the resort. For a little while, it allowed us to forget our troubles. We went walking with seniors, a tween, and a baby, and the walk was incredibly pleasant thanks to the old trees and lush scenery. When guests get tired, they can easily ride the shuttle back to the beach or the hotel. Finally, the main reason I am making the effort to write this review is to sincerely applaud the service crew, from the reception area to the staff managing guest requests and the restaurant wait staff. Their helpful smiles and friendly demeanor truly made us feel safe and on vacation.

Very green surrounding and a complete tranquility tucked away in the mountains. The sound of the nature makes you want to stay here longer. Check in was easy and Staff were all amazing and helpful in every way. Buffet breakfast was also good and has lots of variety. We had a total of 5 rooms booked for mostly adult couples and a 1 year old child. Rooms were clean from sheets to towels, bathrooms and all corners and surfaces of the rooms. Each room was presented neat, tidy and clean. Interconnected swimming pools with infinities close to the recreation or the country club with lots of activities for all ages including toddlers. The lagoon has 2.5 k radius which is sufficient for joggers. Going to the beach is via walking about 10 min or via golf buggy ride for free. The beach is beautiful surrounded by mountains and clean. No fishing! They have external showers and clean toilets. Can also hang around at the beach bar for snacks and drinks. This is a cashless transactions which was very convenient for us. This resort is no way near any shops as you would drive about half an hour for it. Once you’re inside the resort all purchases will have to be made there. I suggest to buy your alcohols and chips before checking in.

This review includes Pico Sands Hotel and review of the Pico de Loro Resort the hotel is located within. The rooms here are dated and basic. The location of the resort and this hotel is underdeveloped and "local". There is no convenient way of getting extra supplies such as groceries, pharmacy, outside food, etc. The food is expensive for the quality you get; it's just average tasting food upcharged to resort prices. You will spend minimum 1500-2000 pesos for the low end items on the menu in this hotel's restaurant: appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 shakes. The drinks at the bar are expensive... There are no decent restaurants outside the resort except very local fares, so you are stuck eating resort food at resort prices, unless you bring your own supplies to cook, which you do see people bring in their own supplies. There is a shuttle service to all areas of the resort that is reliable and relatively on time. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel. To get access to more restaurants and other amenities, you have to buy Country Club access at 1400 pesos/adult. The Beach Club is for condo owners and members only, or accompanied guests, so you have only limited access such as the outside bathrooms and Sport and Recreations Center where you can book your watersports activities. Overall, I would say the experience was just average, and this should be a 3-star resort in my honest opinion. Nothing exceptionally good stood out but neither anything notably bad in terms of food, amenities, experiences, service, etc. Come if you find some good deals or you absolutely have no other options but after one visit, I would not revisit. They don't accept cash here; credit cards and electronic payment systems like GCash only. 5.5/10

Locations with nice views will require some travel/driving time - this place is no exception. They have big rooms and breakfast is included. Set aside a good amount of budget for food - you will have to dine in the resto when staying in the hotel. Another option in Pico is rent a condo unit, and cook your own food.

Awesome hotel. Peace full and serene. If you wana escape the hustle and bustle of the metro this is the best place to go. You can swim on the sea or pool, walk around the manmade lake, and even avail the amenities of Pico de Loro for a fee. Best time to go is during the rainy days, not too much people and the beach is cool in and out of the water
