We stayed at Canyon Cove this October 2025, and overall, it was a relaxing getaway. The place still has that nice beach view and calm atmosphere perfect for family bonding. The pool area was clean and spacious, and the lifeguards were attentive, which made swimming with kids feel safe and enjoyable.
The room we stayed in was comfortable and had a good view of the sea. Basic amenities were available, and the staff were polite and accommodating to our requests. Breakfast was decent, though the food selection could use a bit more variety.
The beach itself was clean and peaceful during our stay, ideal for morning walks or watching the sunset. Canyon Cove remains a good choice for a short weekend escape from the city—simple, relaxing, and family-friendly.
It is OKAY. No complaints. Not the best, the kids and kids at heart had fun so nothing to say. Could use maintenance and fixing to some of the bits. Could use more beach side cabanas. Its what you would expect for its price. The room we were assigned to was good was spacious, kids love the window side bed. The food is there on the higher priced one. Would be best to go outside.
All in all our experience was ok but it could be better especially on rooms! We got two king size room, shower of one room wasn't working well, also the shower didn't have door while the other room shower worked well and it had door. The room was full of mosquitos so we asked to use baygon. They don't have much activities and all the store and restaurants closes at 9pm and outside food are not allowed! No boat available as well so don't expect much, but all in all it was ok, but next time I might consider other places with more activities!
If you need a beach near Metro manila with easy parking, that is clean and peaceful with drinks this is the place. The beers are about 180-250 but you get the peace and quiet. Recommended during NON-PEAK season. If you want a CLEAN CHANGING ROOM (not a toilet area) it is on the FAR END of the resort - looks very new, CLEAN but can have a leaky shower area that looks like something from a Hollywood film where Freddy Krueger comes in and you know what. This is a quiet for the day or overnight beach that you can go to.
at the time when we were here, didn't necessarily have a good experience as i recall. it must've been the weather at the time, because then during our overnight the lights went out at night and it was raining. it was about sleeping time then.
the rooms were damp, medyo kulob, with lots of flies in the bathroom specifically from a faulty faucet leak. so we'd gone out to the bar where they had rechargeable lights but even that didn't last as much due to the typhoon. the service wasn't quick, possibly because they were servicing lots of other people. the drinks were okay, but nothing i remember much about.
though the electricity was restored after a couple of hours, it was quite inconvenient. perhaps they should consider having a generator or if they already do, utilizing it.
i reckon the lines were chaotic upfront when we checked in. again, it must be the peak season as we were here in the middle of the summer. but otherwise, i think the breakfast buffet went well enough.
i acknowledge that the experience would've been a lot better had it been a different time and circumstance, but i'm not encouraged to come back.
