Casa Bahia Dive Resort

Some people may have a misconception on this place. This resort is suited more if you are into the open-water activities. The staff are nice and kind. They are considerate with your food preferences. Surely, there are a lot of things someone may notice for improvement. But I think this place is not trying to be a 4 or 5-star like hotel/resort. It has its own unique way of welcoming guests and ensuring you will have a good rest while enjoying your dive.

What a lovely little paradise! This is not luxurious, nor is it fair to call it a “resort” but for less than 100USD a night you get a CLEAN room, super yummy meals (which you can discuss food allergies or preferences about) and great service. I also dove with casa Bahia and was super happy with Christian- the guide. This diving location is INCREDIBLE. I saw lots of wildlife and really enjoyed my stay here, would recommend for an affordable dive spot and hotel.

We stayed 2 nights. With the rate of 7k per night, it was way too expensive. It did not meet our expectations. They serve processed food for breakfast - canned meat, corned beef. Coffee was good tho. I hope the management would consider changing the breakfast menu. EU nationals prefer having a savory bowl of arroz caldo with fruits than having processed foods on the table. On a brighter side, we had a good turon for merienda. We requested not to add sugar on it. Very simple and healthy. Staff were friendly too.

Opting for their weekend dive package facilitated by a knowledgeable diving instructor, we were greeted with genuine warmth by the attentive staff. The value became immediately apparent as our dining experience unfolded – breakfast, lunch, and dinner surpassed expectations, all at a reasonable rate of P2,500 per head. The accommodations featured rooms equipped with double-deck beds and private bathrooms. While cozy, the spaces efficiently accommodated our luggage and provided a comfortable haven for resting between exhilarating dives. A commendable balance of affordability and comfort. The only thing I didn’t favor was the parking area. The resort offers limited slots so you’ll be forced to avail the P100/ day pay parking just beside the complementary slots.

The resort seems new, there are a lot of areas for improvement. Travellers must be aware of the following: 1. Preferencial guest - they prefer guest who avails of the package rate (full board) than guest who just just avails of room only. 2. Quality of Service - needs improvement. When we are placing the order in the restaurant, none of them knows what to answer, the staff also made us feel off because we didn't avail of the package. They even told my sister to just go down and placing of order should only be done downstairs. What the??? It is a restaurant! 3. Location - travellers MUST be aware on the type of vehicle to bring. NO ONE will assist you when you are about to go up a very steep hill when checking out. I have asthma and i did climb up ahead so that i can give warning to my companions else accident will happen. 4. Pool - it's so dirty. Probably because it doesn't serve as pool at all. The divers washes off in the pool. 5. Beachfront - it's not technically beachfront as what we were advised. It's actually few blocks from the beach.
