My recent stay at Madrid Beach Resort in Pagudpud was nothing short of magical. Nestled along the pristine shores of Blue Lagoon Beach, this hidden gem offers an authentic Philippine beach experience with all the comforts you could desire.
From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by the stunning panorama of Pagudpud's famous white sand beach and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Madrid Beach Resort enjoys a prime location, perfectly positioned to showcase the natural splendor of this coastal paradise often referred to as the "Boracay of the North." The resort's beachfront setting allows guests to step directly from their accommodations onto the powdery sand – a luxury that can't be overstated.
The rooms at Madrid Beach Resort strike the perfect balance between comfort and local charm. My seaside cottage featured traditional Filipino design elements while providing all the modern amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the gentle sound of waves and enjoying morning coffee on my private balcony with unobstructed ocean views was an experience I'll treasure forever.
What truly elevates Madrid Beach Resort above other accommodations in Pagudpud is its exceptional staff. From the warm welcome with fresh coconut drinks to the thoughtful daily room touches, every interaction reflected genuine care and attention to detail. The resort manager went above and beyond to ensure all guests felt personally welcomed and attended to.
Madrid Beach Resort captures the essence of what makes Pagudpud special – unspoiled natural beauty, authentic local culture, and heartfelt hospitality. This isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience that connects you to the true spirit of the Philippines. For travelers seeking an escape from overcrowded tourist destinations without sacrificing comfort, Madrid Beach Resort is an absolute treasure. I'm already planning my return visit to this slice of paradise.
It's a bit secluded from the rest, but the spot is perfect for someone who prefers lesser crowd. It's spacious enough, with a parking area for 3-4 cars, a grill, some kubos and seats, a sala on the second floor with a view of the ocean. Careful with the coconut trees, especially if windy. The room I stayed in is not that good but the price is right. As long as there's bed and toilet, I'm not complaining. You'll be out most of the day anyway. The beach in front is not fit for swimming. Too much rocks. You'll have to walk a bit to the right and join the others if you wanna swim. Overall I had a pleasant stay, though the service needs improvement.
Value for money, you don't really need a fancy room since you'll be out enjoying the beach most of the time and will just be sleeping off to rest. Good for family accommodations. Owner was very hospitable and nice. Make sure to contact the owner for booking as I was told they seldom accept walk ins.
Had a comfy stay at this place, too bad 1 bulb was busted in our room and only 1 towel was provided but still reasonable price for the rooms, parking is enough for 2-3 SUV's.
