Ahana Resort El Nido

This is a FRADULENT listing. We unfortunately booked this resort via AirBnB and did not do our due diligence online regarding the state of the accomodation. We left the accomodation within an hour of arriving here. Firstly the owner is non-respondent, likely due to running this scam from a remote location. They will not offer a solution, refund or acknowledge the multitude of issues which I am highlighting below. 1) The property has a steep incline to access with unpaved roads, the road is unmade and we were not informed of this in the listing or booking. They further messaged us at arrival to tell us they could only drop us half way due to ongoing work. This is NOT listed in the description. 2) The AC in the rooms does not work adequately and the temperature was exceeding 30 degrees (again not stated in the booking) and the WiFi does not work in the rooms 3) Three of the five rooms smell like sewage and are uninhabitable, the rooms are damp, mouldy and inhabitable - the staff proactively said two rooms were not available because of the smell 4) There is ongoing construction and workers have left items around the property itself (sharp saws, hammers, nails, broken pavements) 5) The pool is dirty, cloudy and full of insects, unsafe for use 6) They informed us the generator is turned off daily to preserve power and between certain hours we will not have electricity 7) We have to be back at the accomodation by 10pm otherwise there is nobody to take us back up the steep, unpaved and dangerous road I want to note the staff are lovely and they are victims of this fraud, the owner clearly does not care about them. I would suggest everyone to book Seda Lio for a much smoother experience and cheaper than the price points offered by Ahana 'resort'. This stay will be charged back via the bank :)

We booked the bungalow, and it was absolutely spotless and beautiful. The view was stunning. Very peaceful and relaxing. The food was also delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always hands-on and ready to assist. Just a heads-up, the transportation from the hotel can be a bit pricey for some, so it’s something to consider. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return.

Terrible Experience – Not Worth the Money I rarely leave reviews, but this stay was frustrating enough to speak up. First off, the road leading to the hotel is in awful condition—unpaved, full of potholes, and barely accessible unless you’re in a heavy-duty vehicle. Transportation options are extremely limited, and the hotel’s shuttle service is outrageously overpriced for the short and rough trip. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with attitude instead of hospitality. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Once we got to our room, we discovered there was no Wi-Fi access—something you'd expect to be basic in any hotel nowadays. The food was another major letdown. It honestly felt like cafeteria food at best. Overall, between the poor access, unhelpful staff, bad food, and lack of basic amenities, this place is completely overrated and not worth what they charge. I won’t be coming back and definitely do not recommend it to anyone.

This place was a dream to stay at, and the place looked exactly like the photos. The views from the hotel were absolutely stunning, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. The kitchen staff made all the food fresh. The menu provides a great mix of filipino foods, Western foods, and pastas that allowed you to satisfy whatever craving you had. This place is meant to be an escape, with the sounds of birds and a breathtaking view of the islands. The staff would coordinate with us daily on what our plans for the following day were and where we needed to be dropped off and when we needed to be picked up. But what I enjoyed the most about Ahana Resort was the staff: Neil, Joey, and JonJon provided exceptional service and were always so accommodating of our needs. They always tried to anticipate our needs (whether it was a ride into town or other beaches or just becoming familiar with our daily routine during our stay). Our room was always so well kept and they provided us with so many suggestions on where to go or what to do during our visit. We could not thank them enough, and we were sad to be leaving. My fiance and I will definitely be returning here again.

Do not book this resort. Go anywhere in elnido but this place. I had recently booked ahana resort but worst decision of my life. there were sudden thunderstorms in country because of which my flight got delayed by 2 days. They neither refunded me any amt nor adjusted any bookings and their reservation manager who lives in japan does not even have balls to deal with customers upfront. The team is extremely non co-operative and ill mannered.
