Give me a moment and I'll tell you why I only gave this place two stars. I've only been here for 2 days, and I still have 2 days left. Why did I book 4 days at such an expensive place? Because in this area, the MSR is about the only decent place to stay. It has a very corporate vibe, with too many rules preventing you from having a relaxing stay. The room is a good size with a comfortable mattress , but the pillows are hard. The CR is nice enough with running hot water, but the shower head was old and sad. The TV is small and basically non-functional, and internet access is terrible (non-existent really). The reason I will never come back is the sterile feeling. There is no hominess. Parties here? Not so much. Fun at the billiards table? Same. No food or drinks anywhere near the table (I'm talking within 50 meters), and the play room is ugly and shared with the workout area. I guess boring would sum this resort up nicely. At these prices, no thanks.
We Just spend the day at the waterfront area for swimming. Pools are clean and not too strong because of chlorine. Kids are happy and they enjoy so much. Although some of the slides are not too slip to slide but the rest is good, add some water activity.
Mount sea resort is a perfect get away, whether your group of friends or with your family. The scenery is relaxing and refreshing and the facilities are quite maintained. Relaxing by the pool or enjoying water activities is a must. Friendly staff and peaceful surroundings make an ideal spot to unwind at an affordable price .
Stay away!
Situated in behind a squatters street, this hotel at first glance appears like an oasis. Nicely manicured gardens, and a clean foyer.
Look deeper to see a large amount of glaring problems, especially at a price point that positions this hotel above many better hotels in the heart of Makati.
The rooms are tiny, and a twin queen bed room is actually, 2 x double beds (much smaller). The rooms continue to dissapoint, with poor sound proofing (I hope you like the elevator music piped into the hallways at 6am!, its loud and clear in the rooms).
The room itself was full of mosquitoes, I killed 20 plus, and still had more in the morning!. Dont try and charge your phone whilst in bed, or use a CPAP machine, as there are no power outlets near the beds!! (Its 2025!! Not 1995). Booked for 4 people, and room had a single half used toilet paper roll, upon trying to call reception and housekeeping, nobody answered after multiple calls, forcing a trudge to reception in our pajamas where we found the receptionist sitting at the desk ignoring calls whilst she played music on her iphone! In regards complimentary items , 1 small bath soap, 1 very small bath gel, shampoo and conditioner....for 4 x people...not even enough for 2 persons ...and this is for a 10k per night hotel!!
The restaurant had reasonable food, if pricey fornwhat was ordered. I requested a simple glass of water to take my medications, and was told they dont have any.....let that sink in...I had to go back to my room to get some water for tablets! However in the morning the complimentary breakfasts were served with luke warm water (no ice) by default...
Kids had some hot choco with breakfast, and received an almost black mix of hot choco, extremely strong and bitter..we requested some milk to dilute this hot choco and were told we would be charged extra! Got the fresh milk delivered to table in a glass, and poured some into the disgusting hot choco....it was curdled (gone bad), so was undrinkable...requested a manager..nobody showed up!
Went to front desk and requested to speak to a senior manager this morning, however they were all too important to talk to their paying customers, so I had a junior manager from sales show up...unacceptable!!
Steer clear! This hotels value is far below the price it is asking..Equivalent hotels in the centre of Makati are only 3000php per night for larger rooms, better amenities, and far less aggravations...vs this poor hotel inbthe middle of a slum area...
We had our team building here. The rooms are good and A/C is cold but we were able to check-in around 3pm cause of slow service(cleaning of room). Foods are okay but quite expensive. Lots of pools and activities such as basketball, gym, billiard and etc.
