THIS IS MY FIRST TIME HERE AND DEFINITELY MY LAST.
The pools were still nice, though a bit itchy. The good thing is, we almost had the pools to ourselves. There was only one other family beside our cottage.
FIRST, we had no choice but to stay here for swimming because the first resort we went to was only open until 3 PM. We were looking for a place to stay longer, and my family decided to go here since it was the nearest pool or resort available.
Second, I had no idea that DOGS were not allowed. Since I had my two dogs with me, I had no choice but to agree when they said our dogs would have to stay outside the resort, in front of the lobby. They provided a cage where the dogs could stay. WE AGREED TO THE REFULATIONS.
However, while we were inside eating, there were about 2–3 stray dogs walking around our cottage. I felt really disappointed because our dogs were outside, and I had to go back and forth to check on them and bring them food.
I talked to someone in the lobby and explained why there were dogs inside. They said those dogs weren’t theirs. I asked if we could bring our dogs inside since there were already other dogs around just for consideration but they kept saying, “Sorry ma’am, regulations po talaga namin na dogs are not allowed inside.” (kahit na may aso sa loob ng hindi nyo napapansin?)
I also asked to speak with the person in charge or the supervisor, but there was none available at that time.
After a few hours, my mom checked on our dogs again and pleaded one more time. They finally allowed the dogs to come inside still in the cage, but far from our cottage because they said they were hiding them from the CCTV.
LASTLY, TO MANAGEMENT AND STAFFS: Though we were still thankful for that but next time please be consistent with your "POLICIES AND REGULATIONS". Kapag sinabi nyong bawal ang aso, dapat wala ni isang asong makakapasok sa loob. I know that you’re only following the management’s regulations, and I understand tha because I used to work in a resort as well. But in this kind of situation, you should have prioritized your customer satisfaction.
I booked for 3 nights and 3 rooms

Title : Relaxing Stay with Friendly Staff, but Policies Could Be Better”
Almira Resort is a nice and relaxing place to stay, perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The atmosphere is serene, and the staff are friendly and accommodating, which made our stay pleasant overall.
However, I was disappointed with their room accommodation policy. If you request to change rooms — even with the same number of guests (two persons) — there is still an additional charge just because of the bed type (twin beds vs. double bed). In most 3- to 5-star hotels, as long as the number of guests stays the same, changing the bed configuration is usually allowed without extra fees. This policy felt a bit inconvenient and guest-unfriendly.
Another issue I experienced was with the refund process. The resort coordinated with Agoda and informed me that the refund had already been processed. Unfortunately, I was still charged on my credit card, and I had to personally follow up with Agoda to resolve the matter. This was quite inconvenient and could be improved for a smoother guest experience.
I hope Almira Resort can review and improve these policies to make future stays more hassle-free for their guests.
The pools had bugs in them. A lot. Genuinely. It was kinda disgusting. But the food was good, the portion was kinda small but still good, the employees were nice though. Good service. Also I kept disconnecting from the Wi-Fi? Idk if it’s because I’m far away from the router or the Wi-Fi itself is bad. When I play some games I keep disconnecting. Also very VERY far away from other establishments. Either have to bring your own vehicle or book in a traveling app which is expensive.
It's literally a hotel and resort away from the world. But it was not really compensated enough by the service available at the place. The options were expensive too. But I cannot deny, the pool and the creative location of the rooms, altogether, were impressive. Pool designs are good, for sure. Could've rated higher if the amenities were friendly.
quite enjoyable specially the wave pool. it's on a schedule every other two hours, for 20 minutes. bring food along as the tapsi meals are expensive at 500php each. bring bottled water and drinks, snacks too. rooms are clean. tv is not smart but we didnt staycation to watch a movie, did we? there's not too many people which gave a feeling of exclusivity.
