Blue Joys Marine Sports Resort

Blue Joys Marine was a great choice for our group of four, offering spacious and clean rooms that provided a peaceful retreat after our daily adventures. The stunning infinity pool was a major highlight, with a beautiful view that made for the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sunset. While the resort is a bit remote, (but the wifi connection is blazing fast.. thanks to starlink) the helpful and friendly staff made it easy to arrange transportation and provided excellent recommendations for our Siquijor explorations.

Nice room and pool. We liked to chill there in the evening with the sunset. Breakfast was also good. The beach was not the nicest, But with the pool we had enough. The owner is really strict and people were not even allowed to put music in the pool (normal volume). It was too loud. I think it would be better if he would not be that serious and strict. We had a security Person the 24 hours and they are really nice!

It's nice because it's quiet and clean and well managed. However, the first floor has a lot of ants. There are ants in the sink as well, so it would be nice if only that was taken care of.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort is new, modern, and very peaceful. The staff were incredibly sweet and always ready to assist us. While the location is a bit outside of San Juan, it’s perfect for exploring the island by scooter and offers a tranquil atmosphere. Our personal highlight was the friendly little cat we often encountered in the reception area. We hope it's doing well and is being taken care of. As mentioned by others, there are a few areas for improvement, such as having a refrigerator in the room or a larger menu selection, especially as the options for vegetarians are quite limited.

We recently stayed at this resort and left quite disappointed. We had to carry our luggage to the rooms as it was not possible to roll the suitcases and we did not got any help. The room amenities listed—such as a safe, coffee maker, hair dryer, and outdoor furniture for the balcony—were missing. The “sitting area” consisted of no more than two plastic chairs. While the rooms are spacious, they lack practical furniture like a desk or high table. The bathroom looked decent, but that was the only highlight. The swimming pool area was unusable, with no mattresses for the sunbeds, no shade, and no parasols. The bottom of the pool was somewhat dirty and slippery, making it feel unkempt. Breakfast, which costs about 370 pesos, was presented nicely, but the experience was overshadowed by the fact that there was only one waitress handling everything on her own. It was hard not to feel sorry for her. One of the rooms had no hot water. When we raised our concerns with management, their dismissive response was that “everything is available if requested,” which showed little concern for our comfort. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, and we wouldn’t recommend this resort.
