a year agoThis is a very budget friendly place especially for impromptu beach trips to Infanta. The road going into the place when you get off from Gen. Luna St. is unpaved, a bit bumpy, and the width could only accommodate 1 car. The resort house is small and clean. I suggest to inform them beforehand if you're coming on a weekend and bringing a car as parking is limited. The room we got has a bunk bed that can accommodate 3 people, and there's a small sofa that can also be used by another person. It can fit 4 adults in the room. There is a provided working fridge and working electric kettle. The AC also works, no remote though, but it keeps the room cool. There's also a working wall fan. The ensuite bathroom is really nice. It's clean and modern. There's a hot and cold shower - a little bit tricky to use though. The toilet has a bidet. Water pressure is ok. Free handwash and toilet paper. No towels provided - we brought our own. There's only 1 big blanket though. Fortunately, we also brought our own blankets and pillows. I guess we can request, but we're prepared anyway, so we let it go. There's free wifi, though the connection is not quite stable inside the room ... but in this area of Infanta, Smart's signal is also not stable, (Globe signal - forget about it). However, if you go outside of the room, the wifi signal is strong. Our room is on the ground floor facing the dipping pool. It's provided with an outdoor kitchen, so we were able to cook the seafood we bought in Real. And it has gasul and stove and they were nice enough to provide kawali, rice pot, and cooking utensils. The sink is big as well as the kitchen counter. There's a monoblock table and extra monoblock chairs provided aside from a table with umbrella and stone bench outside the room. I highly recommend this room if you plan to cook your meals as there's an ihawan you can use nearby - just bring your own uling. Cooking our meals was a breeze. The dipping pool is small and the water is always clean (we noticed that they kerp cleaning it). There's an outdoor shower you can use after going to the beach to wash off the sand. Our room is right next to the coffee shop, but we didn't try it as we brought a lot of food . The public beach is a short walk from the resort, and it's what made our stay in Avana View Resort worth it. The beach is sandy and clean. Waves are pretty strong as this is the Pacific Ocean, but on low tide it's swimmable - we enjoyed it. Compared to the other resorts you're going to pass by along Gen. Luna St., the beach tend to be rocky (we tried several on previous trips). So the stretch of beach in this area is excellent. There's a beach cottage for Avana View guests facing the sea. And there's a swing too! It's a nice spot to have a bonfire. The staff is ok. I communicated with them thru FB messenger when I reserved my booking. They're friendly and helpful especially when we had a hard time figuring out the gasul. They're always cleaning the area, especially the dipping pool. And they generally leave you alone. Bonus - we bought cheap tulingan from fisherpeople passing by the resort, selling their extra catch (the area is near the fish port). The negative/s (not exactly) --> I wish they don't allow people to use the beach cottage for eating as the kamote group that used it didn't clean up - there were paper plates, plastic utensils, and liquor bottles scattered in the cottage. There's a lot of beach dogs in the area - they could be the ones that made more kalat of the idiots' trash. I noticed there were 2 other resorts, and vacation homes in this area sharing the public beach, I would suggest that the community hire someone to make sure the tambay area is clean and ensure that the beach stay free from trash. So overall, it's a nice place for a budget beach vacation in Infanta. Very ok room with a lot of extras. Nice stretch of sandy beach. I wanted to keep this place secret, but I'd recommend this place to my friends. ๐๐๐

3 years agoThe place is nice. Great for a large group with its outdoor long table and lounge chairs. The kitchen is its greatest asset, offering its guests an easier time to prepare your provisions. AC should be doubled though. Im not entirely sure if its the weather during our stay, but the beach itself though is nothing to write about. High waves more suitable for surfing than casual dipping. Sand is constantly dredged by the waves.
