Selectum Mangrove Resort

Selectum Mangrove Resort has been such a pleasure to stay at. My family and I were looking for a nicer hotel to stay in that was still close enough to town for activities and excursions. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. I had a refrigerator, movie channels, water heater and storage safe in my room. The A/C was efficient and quickly cooled the room down to my desired temperature. The pool was clean, big enough for exercise, horseplay, and there was even a gym, with various weights and equipment. While the room was amazing, what made the stay memorable were the hotel staff. They were incredibly attentive, accommodating, generous and thoughtful in taking care of mine and my family’s needs. From making sure we had enough towels, blankets, water and even to arranging pedicabs and tourist vans for us, to get back and forth. I would recommend this resort to families, couples and big groups - like ours. Hands down an amazing experience that was the highlight of visiting Bohol (Panglao).

A Hidden Gem in Panglao! Selectum Mangrove Resort is an absolute treasure tucked away in a peaceful part of Panglao. If you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled escape that still offers top-notch comfort and hospitality, this is the place to be! The rooms are spotless, spacious, and well-designed — blending modern amenities with a cozy tropical vibe. We especially loved the serene mangrove surroundings, which made us feel completely relaxed and connected to nature. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From check-in to check-out, service was warm, friendly, and attentive. The pool area was clean and inviting, and the food at the resort was surprisingly good — fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. It’s a great alternative if you want to avoid the busy Alona scene, but still be just a short drive away. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, or even families looking for a quiet getaway. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

Really loved my stay here. It’s a simple, peaceful resort surrounded by nature. The staff were super kind and helpful, and the vibe was so calm and genuine. A bit far from the center but perfect spot if you’re looking to slow down and just relax for a bit, and everything is a short drive distance away.

Great place. Tranquility and cleanness. Fireflies at night certainly made the stay more special. Owners and staffs’ warm greetings always brightened your day. Will come again.

We stayed here for 4 nights during our travels. Our rooms were clean and spacious and came with air.con and a hot shower!! The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool and gardens were perfect and the food/ drinks are delicious and great value. Our hosts were amazing and even joined us on a day of exploring the local attractions which are easily accessible from this location. Cannot recommend highly enough, we will definitely return.
