The place is nice and you'll get what you deserve from a week-long stress. Slight issue tho was the road going inside the resort. It might get really bumpy that cars with low clearance will have a challenge maneuvering. Also, beach was too polluted when we were there.
Absolutely no-frills, private beach resort. If all you're after is a quiet relaxing weekend getaway, this just might be what you're looking for. You get an entire stretch of beachfront all to yourself. Not a single tourist in sight. Decent food too.
Indeed the place was very simple but really very good for one who would want quiet and rest from the busy life in the city. For me it was good that there was no wifi, network access and no TV in the cottages. I would suggest that you bring food but one can always eat at the restaurant. The cottage and the comfort rooms were clean and the staff was very accomodating. The only thing that hit me was that there was no proper disposal of garbage. Pls look into the matter of garbage and trash because the cottages are located atop a bakawan and this should be keep clean so as to preserve it.
Quiet place, located amidst a mangrove, with beach access. Rooms are a little old, but adequate given the price, covering the basics. There's ample parking, a pool, and Nipa huts by the beach which are free to use. Coffee and bubble top water is available for free. Sadly restaurant and food options are limited with early closure by 8pm. Staff are very helpful and even help collect items misplaced on the beach and property. No online booking option though, and no tie up with travel sites like Agoda.
The perfect place to unplug and enjoy the simple serenity of nature. Though the resort is simple unlike the other posh resorts out there, Balai's charm lies in how the guest houses were built around nature, and not the other way around. The rooms, linens, toilet & bath are clean. The staff are very courteous and kind. Food is superb! Another plus factor is its a dog friendly resort, which makes a perfect place for you and your furbaby to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the surf, sun and sand.
