This place claims to be a 3-star hotel but I think its less than 3.
Upon entry to the lobby door to checkin, I realize this is a training hotel of TRACE school as it is located in the school compound. The agoda price when I booked this place is 4000+ php per night for a deluxe room, queen size and no breakfast included. I regret booking this hotel on an impulse since theres no more hotel available more than 2 weeks before graduation day at UPOU.
At the lobby, i was surprised that they only accept cash, gcash, and bank transfer for payment. Why? Its a 3-star hotel and the rooms were not cheap. Good thing the staff were courteous. It is a management concern, not trainee’s. Also, staff hair should be kept clean and not looking they just woke up.
The room is clean and orderly when we entered the room. But its nothing like other 3-stars hotel and deluxe room ive had in the past. Bed is springy, wifi is fleeting, extra bed is just like an old single size mattress pulled out of stock room. The extra bed is 800php, imagine. Other good things are water pressure is good, no scary stains, and there’s ample space for our personal things. This satisfies two 🌟.
Location wise, it is near the main road where bus going to manila passes through, and its 5-10minutes away to UPLB gate. There is a small mall (Olivarez Plaza) just in front of the alley going to the hotel. However that alley is too narrow when multiple vehicles has to pass to enter and exit. The hotel has limited free parking space, about 7-10slots I assume. This deserves 3 🌟.
For breakfast, we ordered early at 7am sharp so we could enjoy it in 30mins time or less (typical hotel service). When we came down at the lobby, food was served late at 8am. The plating like from a small-scale resort, not picture worthy. The rice is too mushy (malata in tagalog), beef tapa is too small in portion, and that utensils were not given prior foods were served. Too many more to mention, but that sums up my one 🌟 for service.
I stayed here for two (2) nights since I need a place to stay for my pre-graduation and graduation proper activities on Sept. 28 and 29.
Trace Suites is located inside a school campus - Trace College. Hence, going in and out of the hotel is a little bit hustle specially at night. But at least, guests are highly secured. The room and other facilities are clean, shower is perfect however, linens were not ironed hence wrinkled,;wifi is only available in the lobby with a normal speed, just enough to check social media apps. Also, the food is passable for my taste buds however, its over priced. Staffs are very accommodating and attentive to our needs.
For almost P9,000.00 for 2 nights with no complimentary breakfast, I can definitely say that Trace Suites is a little bit pricey. However, if you need a quite place to stay in Los Banos, this property is definitely recommended to you. Please note that if you are in a budget constraint, there are other properties where you can stay in LB.
I can't rate and review Trace Suites' other amenities like gym and swimming pool since I was not able to use it during my 2 days stay in the property.
The staff are accommodating and friendly. The room is neat and well maintained. Accessible to the market, national road and UPLB. You can enjoy in their big swimming pool.
