City of Springs Resort Hotel

Cheap rooms for overnight near UPLB. Some rooms with private pool or jacuzzi. Some facing the lake. The victoria rooms were upgraded to key cards. These are the old rooms but still a good option. I usually stay here when I visit UPLB. Bike friendly! I can bring my bike inside the rooms. Free mineral water at the dispenser beside the pool.

Firstly, if you're a student and trying to make an outing, I think this is not for you. You need an extra budget for this before you check in, because the cottage and entrance are quite expensive. The service is good, and the staff is friendly and approachable. There are only two pools, but in the pools there are leaves around, and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned yet before we check in. The water has no chlorine, and that's good. If you are late to check in during the day and you go past 7 p.m., you will pay another 500 pesos, and that's a bit unethical for the customer. Anyway, thank you for the good service.

Stayed for 2 nights 3 days because I had an errand I needed to do and this was the nearest area at the place I needed to go (I checked on google maps) My takes on the place. 1. We came around 12 am, the reception was open but the lights were turned off, I guess they were conserving energy. However, there was a guard and a receptionist on duty. Prior to our travel time, my sister called and we wanted to book a reservation but the customer representative advised us to walk-in because the reservation needs 50% deposit and it may time sometime to process since we will be coming in a few hours and the reservation will be processed by aa third party. 2. The price for a standard room was for 2,000 per night but on the website (3rd party) it was 1,700+. 3. The staff were accomodating but poor customer service. 4. For the free breakfast, we asked for our breakfast at 7:00 am room sservice. But we ended up following up on it and we ate at the restaurant area and it was served at 7:30. Though the food is delicious. 5. We needed to ask for the Wi-fi password twice, but it won't reach our room. The connecction just got stable around 12 midnight on our last day. 6. The water is warm, (too warm for me because I prefer to take a cold bath) also in the pool. We had a night swim and yet the water was warm. I think it was from a natural spring water so it's okay. I did not smell any chlorine so we thought the water was from an underground hot spring, given that the water was warm. 7. The shower was not working, we needed to use the bucket and dipper to take a bath. 8. The room was okay, though for a standard room I think it's still lacking something. No mini fridge, the AC was old style but still functioning. For the TV also old style and then while we were watching the picture fluctuates ntil it goes black, so the TV became a radio. haha. We got two towels, 2 sets of soap, toothbrush, and toothpaste. No complimentary water and coffee or tea.Though they have a water heater, pitcher and glasses and mugs. 9. We were near another resort and we listened to their concert until 10:00 pm. 10. Not a smoking area resort though there are some hidden spots you can smoke. 11. We almost had the place to ourselves, but on the second day some guests came though I did not see them. 12. The resort is open for day swim or night swim for guests only accomodating the pool area. 13. They had a nice view of the lake and we were near the town's market and a lot of stores and restaurant around the area. 14. Commute is easy because it was also near the tricycle terminal. Overall, we had a good stay at the place. Good thing we weren't that picky but why did I gave them a 3 star? It's because I did not get the comfort I was expecting, like complimentary water and Wi-fi. (since the water was from a natural spring so they can't help it if the water was warm) Would I still recommend this place and come back? Definitely a YES! Check for yourself.

If you're looking for a nice place to stay, this is not for you. The spot is good, but the quality of the service and the room is bad. Yes, they're accommodating, but the staff was not instructing or telling the guest beforehand about their room status. We checked into a lakeside room, and at first I thought that was a great room, but when accessing the inclusions such as the TV, air conditioning, and refrigerator, they weren't functioning well. The tv has not a black box for it to function and at first we thought that we just don't know how to open it and try to seek help from information office but they keep saying "just wait and we'll be there to check but they don't come and after I asked again they tell me that the television hasn't the black box to operate even they didn't check the room? Second their Aircon was to old I think we need electric fan for us to be able feel the cold air. Third the socket behind the refrigerator was broken we can't even use it what's the purpose of it? Fourth their shower I think around  pass nine in the evening the water source was cut and it takes a while before it comes back. Fifth their curtains brace was broken it was taped and also their offering towels for guests but it wasn't delivered to our room?? I think it's just an bad place to stay.

It's cozy good for night swimming. The view of Laguna lake added the plus factor . But I think the rooms are all old , need some attention. All in all it's a nice place for family and friends. Even couple .
