2 weeks agoUnfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. There were mosquitoes throughout the entire stay, making it very uncomfortable. Loud music from the nearby bar played all night long, so it was impossible to rest. The entrance to the property was completely inaccessible, and our room was not ready on time upon arrival. The toilets barely worked during most of our stay, despite being told multiple times that the issue was being fixed. There was no internet access in the rooms at all — only at the reception — which we found unacceptable and very surprising. In addition, there was no housekeeping service: sheets and towels were not changed, and no cleaning was provided during the stay. Overall, the experience did not meet basic hospitality standards, and we would not recommend this place.

7 months agoI can only recommend staying at Palayan Huts while being in Port Barton. The place is so laid back and just beautiful. Maica is an absolute angel. Such a bright and beautiful soul. She made sure everything was alright during the whole stay, thank you so much 🏼

11 months agoWe stayed at Palayan Paradise Huts in Port Barton, and it was a fantastic experience. The huts, which are small wooden cabins with coconut leaf roofs, are very cozy and well-maintained. They run on solar panels that charge batteries, providing power for lights, fans, and phone charging during the night—a very useful feature. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and despite being located above rice fields, we hardly encountered any mosquitoes, thanks to the efficient mosquito nets. The hotel is well-located, a bit towards the edge of the town but just a short walk from restaurants, boat tours, and even White Beach. Although the path to White Beach is quite challenging, it’s still closer than from many other hotels in town. Additionally, there’s an unpaved, sandy path leading to the hotel from the main road, and when it rains, it can get very muddy and a bit inconvenient. At night, you can hear party music coming from the town until around 4 a.m., but it didn’t bother us. In fact, the sound of frogs and crickets from the surrounding fields added to the peaceful atmosphere. The bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. Although they are shared (there are two bathrooms and showers for the whole hotel), cleanliness was excellent, and we had no issues. It can be a bit inconvenient to step out of the hut to use the bathroom or shower, but it didn’t detract much from the experience. The service was exceptional. The owner, who lived and worked in Barcelona for many years, speaks Spanish, which made communication very easy. Maica, who helped manage the place, was always incredibly attentive. We communicated via WhatsApp, and she was very responsive, ensuring everything was smooth during our stay. The hotel does not offer a restaurant or breakfast service, but there are plenty of dining options nearby, just a short walk away. In summary, we had a great stay in a peaceful place with attentive service and beautiful surroundings. We highly recommend Palayan Paradise Huts and hope they continue to be successful.

a year agoThe best huts in Port Barton, if not the best huts on the whole of Palawan Islands. Good fan and the huts have great veneration. It cools down fast at night. Very close to the beach. I love the design and craft of these huts, good cold shower. You’ll love staying at this place, book early! There are only three huts and it’s very popular. We had a very polite dog of the owner come and sleep one morning outside the hut. We had no idea until we opened the door and after a while it just went elsewhere. So gentle and polite.

11 months agoWe had an amazing night at Maica’s Palayan Paradise Huts. A bit of sounds because of the party at the hill and frogs at night, but with earplugs nothing to worry about. Nice and quiet side of the road and only a few minutes walking to the beach and town busier ‘centre’. No airco in the room but there’s a fan! Toilets and showers very clean.
