Shing Spa Resort

An exemplary model of what a true resort should be. Im astonished at the attention to detail and quality. Without a doubt, the best place we've seen anywhere on Palawan, and right up there with top resorts anywhere. Here is an in depth review, brought to you by one of Googles top 10 reviewers, and professional traveler. I sat down with the co-owner Grace Baldivicio, and toured the property 14th Nov, 2025 This is a 100% Filipino owned business, 2nd generation rice farmers, who built this 1.8 Hector spa &resort on their working farm. Walled in and gated, this Oasis offers mountain views from your adorable A fram cottage or luxury room. The list of amenities doesn't stop with the large and beautiful pool, hot showers, spacious rooms, room service and spa treatment. They also have a jogging track around the perimeter, 4 new Diesel generators which means no brown outs, enough power to keep the AC on full blast in every room. That's hard to find in the Philippines, in fact, first time I've seen it at all. Built in 2023, everything is modern, functional, and high quality. There is even a large event hall big enough for a large family reunion or birthday party. There is a bit of construction going on because they are adding more rooms and a larger restaurant to serve non guests in the future. This place is central to so many days trips, I can't list them all, but if you like hiking, waterfalls, and mountain vistas, this is the place to be. The nearby town has anything you need from money exchange, markets, DIY store and a Jollibee if you must have. I didn't stay the night here, just found it by accident and made a special decisiontrip to come back so we could stay. The food was very good, much better than every other place we've stayed, and the fresh brewed coffee. at P2300 a night for this level of quality and the amazing quiet compound with mountains in the background, its a do not miss. So grateful to have found this place.

I had a relaxing stay at Shing Spa Resort in Brooke's Point. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, making me feel welcome throughout my visit. My room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable place to rest. I especially enjoyed the peaceful ambience which added to the calming atmosphere. The free breakfast served each morning was a nice start to the day. Overall, it's a great spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some quiet time in nature.

Beware of this one! Stayed July 16-17, 2025 and had a horrible experience. First off it is in the middle of nowhere. Second our room was horrible, dead bugs on the floor, shower drain was stopped up and flooded the whole bathroom. No soap or shampoo, had to purchase from them. The was no wifi as advertised. Not a pleasant place at all!

We found the rooms to be clean, the pool well-maintained, and the free breakfast to be a nice touch. The resort is conveniently located just far enough from town for guests to enjoy the peaceful countryside but just a short 10 minute drive to the town centre. The resort staff were so friendly and provided very efficient service. Overall, thank you for the wonderful stay! I would most definitely recommend this resort to friends and family. Suggestion: Please consider adding a noise level rule to your list of pool rules for the comfort of all resort guests.

The resort is wide enough to host more than 70 participants. This is a very good place for events. The facility is clean, pool is well-maintained and the food they served us was fantastic. The function hall is conducive. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. They will provide your request immediately. There’s also wifi available.
