3 years agoWe found the place thru AirBNB but we booked it directly (facebook). The photos in the Airbnb were not updated (we thought there was a volleyball court which was actually one of the reasons we booked the place, so yeah we had to buy a net the day before). It also said it was a beachfront, but it was not. It's about 3 min walk to get to the beach. When we arrived, the first thing the caretaker said was, "Magbayad po muna bago makapasok" which we felt was a little rude. We honestly do understand that this is a moneymaking business pero nakakawalang gana na after a 5-hour journey from Manila, that's what they'll say. I called up the owner (a woman) and they were very accommodating naman. They told us we could have a bonfire. She was really nice. We did not have any issues with the house, except for the dirty grill that still had burnt fish inside. We asked the caretaker to cleaned it up which he did. The water in the pool was clean, but I personally still cleaned up the leaves and twigs off of it. However, the pool itself still had molds and was very slippery. The caretakers cleaned it up the next morning, however something happened with the pump that they were only able to fill up the pool at 4pm. The house was also covered with flies all throughout our stay kahit na pumapatay kami, and nakasara ang mga pintuan. Pros of the rooms, I loved the dorm room type but the beds were not comfortable. The aircon was functioning well, kaya lamig na lamig kami sa room. The dorm room was the only room that could be locked. Yung sa baba, and the doors leading to outside could not be locked, which caused anxiety for some of my colleagues. The gates were only locked because our colleagues requested it. For both nights of our stay, our colleagues noticed that our caretakers were drinking alcohol (they smelled like it). They were even asking us for our food (squid and liempo), pulutan and water. They even asked if they could sing on the karaoke with us. We gave them liempo and we let them sing with us. After some time, we weren't able to sing anymore because they put in a lot of songs. We just lost the mood. I reported this to the owners, and after a few minutes, the caretakers stopped singing at 12:30 am and left the area. I also did ask the caretakers to buy us some stuff, but I felt like they were ripping me off. Imagine a bag of salt, 250 ml vinegar and a bag of charcoal all cost 260 pesos already. I also asked them to get us 2 blue 5-gal water which cost 100 pesos already. Furthermore, despite all the signs that smoking was not allowed, the caretakers were smoking in the pool area. I also told this to the owners, but I didn't get any response until we left the place. I told the owners we left, no response but that night, they gave me a 5,000 peso voucher. I still tried to get their response in relation to them ripping me off pero deadma. We paid 50,000 pesos for 3D2N, although it should have been cheaper since hindi siya beachfront tapos panget pa behavior ng caretakers. Final note na lang is magingat when asking other people to buy stuff for you. Nangungupit po ng sukli yung mga caretakers and when I tried to report it to the owners, ang nasabi na lang nila is wala daw silang control sa kung anong "pinagusapan" ni guest and ni caretaker, even if at the time, guest pa rin kami. LOL.

3 years agoEdit: Upgraded the rate for service and location for seeing my family enjoying the amenities like jacuzzi, sauna, and even the Kayak in the river at backyard. Kitchen has complete utensils, they even have first aid kit. Also the caretakers, fixed the pool early morning and even cleaned the jacuzzi. We stayed saturday-sunday of Holyweek, 2022. This place might be comfortable for 8-12 pax only. If you are looking for mentioned amenities you might enjoy this resort. But it is a little costlier than others. So we might reconsider going back in smaller group. As for us, we are a group of 30+ pax which we also disclose when inquiring to the resorts. The rate is the downside for me since It is pricier than other resorts. We kind of expect more especially in the sleeping space. Good points first, we enjoyed the jacuzzi and videoke and griller and common areas like kitchen and living area of the house. There is parking space. We enjoyed the breeze in their front porch and backyard kubo. 1. T&b - only 1 indoor t&b. They have 4 outdoor shower near pool, but water is unstable at night when used simultaneously 2. Pool - during our stay, the pool was filled up to more than half water capacity only. Only the kids can swim, adults can just take a dip because it is too shallow. Per caretaker, motor pump is defective and cannot pump water anymore :( Anyway they fixed it the following morning. 3. Beds - 4 bunkbeds only for group of 30 pax . It is uncomfortable. 1 bunkbed at bedroom in groundfloor, 3 in dormroom at 2ndfloor, the only room at 2nd level btw. Upper bunkbed has thin mattresss and and I can feel the steel frame underneath. The foam sinks between the steel frame blanket is a thin fabric 4. Shore -it is a short walk from the house itself, which they disclosed to us before renting the place. However, during our stay, there is an ongoing construction at the shore 🥲. Mountain of sand and a backhoe is part of the view while we swim. But we still like the beach of San Narciso and its wave. 4. Weak signal - super weak signal during our stay. No wifi. Globe signal is sporadic. If you need better communication for calls and data, you will need smart simcard.

3 years agoDate of visit: 19-30 March 2022 House stayed is for a group of 10 or more, with parking, 2 rooms, pool and jacuzzi. Very good service and caretakers are very approachable and helpful. Beach area is okay and you can do bonfire, just ask the caretakers. Area is also very peaceful and quiet. Good for vacations or taking from a short break from the city buzz.

6 years agopang surfing ang dagat sa san narciso so if ur bringing kids better look for a resort with its own swimming pool. samu's rm rates aren't worth it. beach front rooms are too small. bring ur own cookwares and utensils unless u want to share with other guests. burning stove is shared. 2 refrigerators are shared. 5small cr with shower also shared. come early so u get d larger dining area or sa kubo na lng kayo kkain. the mini pool is good for kids but some drinking adults love to take a dip on it too. they have a videoke so good luck if u want to rest early or pag malas ka umaga p lng may kantahan na,resort po kc e.
