8 months agoThis place is a paradise for everyone who wants to enjoy being on his own on a tiny island. You might have some visitors in the morning who come here for island hopping, but by noon they are gone. Then - all the island is for you. Most of the time we were the only ones there. The beach is wonderful - crystal clear, calm waters. The hospitality of the owners is exceptional, and the food we had there was omg so so so good. I could give 100 stars !! You can also book private boat tours to different islands which is great, we went to Mansalangan Sandbar and we were the only ones there! We were picked up in Puerto Princessa by a van which was an hour late so we missed our boat from the port to Patawan, but if you go to the office at the port and ask for help they will help you and drop you to the Patawan island. It's only approx. 20 minutes by boat from Buliluyan port to Patawan. If I'm back in Palawan I will definitely do everything to stay in Patawan again, it was the best holiday I have ever had in my life thanks to the owners and the beauty of the nature around 🧡🧡🧡

11 months agoMy girlfriend and I were visiting Patawan Island as the last stop of our Palawan vacation. Patawan and its surrounding islands are beautiful! Turquoise water, white beaches and the chance to see turtles and tropical fish while snorkeling. The Patawan Island Resort offers simple but comfortable accomodation. We opted for a glamping tent, which offers lots of space, a big bed, a cabinet, air conditioning and a shared bathroom. As delighted we were with the quality of the facilities and the beauty of the island, we cannot say so about the host Darryn: Van Transfer: We were offered a transfer from Puerto Princesa to the Buliluyan ferry station, which we accepted thankfully. Long story short: the whole journey was a real catastrophe: even after repeated enquiries the 02:30 am pick-up was only confirmed 4 hours before departure; no seat-belts, no head rest, reckless driving; 14 people in a van with 10 seats because the driver picked up random hichthikers for more money. Ferry: Unlike the offer said, the ferry transfer was not organised. No ferry wanted to take us there because they were fully booked and Patawan was not on their route. After persistently begging for an hour someone sneaked us into the baggage room of a full ferry. So actually getting to the island was due to pure luck, as there is no cell phone service in the area and the wifi din´t work. Darryn didn´t even bother to welcome us, even though we were right in front of him, which was very awkward. He was short tempered, irritated easily and talked down on us even though we are low maintenance and were just asking for the most basic things. We also had to run after him for things like the already discussed boat tour or the bill for the end payment. To sum it up, the service is very poor and we didn´t feel welcome at all! The only plus point is the lovely crew, who can´t be blamed for the behaviour of their boss.

a year agoIt cannot get more perfect than this! Those searching for places to stay in Balabac quickly find out that there's only tours available. But I'm not a big fan of tours where you're constantly on the move at the schedule of the captain and you barely have time to spend quality time at a place. And there's alot of bad online reviews regarding these tours, overpriced and underwhelming in services offered. So we arranged our own vehicle down from Puerto Princesa down to Bulilyan Port (

a year agoAmazing hotel and island! We stayed 4 days and it was incredible! Great service, friendly staff, excellent food, good room with AC and great island hoping tours! Thank you Alona and team for making our stay perfect :) Just 2 constructive comments: - it was extremely difficult to book with you, despite sending multiple emails and messages. We were lucky to get hold of you by calling multiple times. I would have liked the booking experience to be smoother. For anyone wanting to stay there, just call them through whatsapp multiple times and they will pick up eventually. - The van transfers from Puerto Princesa to the Buliluyan port have been horrible. I know you don’t operate these but you have decided to use this agency and it simply does not match the premium service you give in the island. Transfers (both ways) have been delayed by more than one hour which made us miss our boat. Then, it has been packed, full of boxes and overcrowded with more people than seats. I understand some budget travellers may want to travel this way but it is simply not the transfer we were hoping when booking your premium hotel. Alona I recommend you change the agency and to any future traveller, just ask to book a private transfer or ask for a better agency. Hadn’t it been for the transfer I would have given a 5 out of 5. I hope we can come back in the future!
