a month agoWe arrived in port Barton and unfortunately due to damage from the typhoon, our accommodation that we had booked in advance had cancelled our stay. We walked around the town looking for a place to stay with not much luck or guidance from any of the hostels in the area. Thankfully the wonderful Rebecca at Marianne Home Inn was incredibly kind and assisted us with finding accommodation. We were looking for a two night stay and unfortunately Rebecca was only able to offer one night as she was fully booked. Despite this, she helped us by contacting one of her friends and found us a double bedroom with AC at another property, she walked us there and secured a good rate with the other owners for us. Her kindness and willingness to help us despite us not being her customers was amazing and we are truly grateful for her incredible hospitality. She showed us her double room and it was a really nice, clean space with ac and a great bathroom. Rebecca’s customer service is a standout and would highly recommended!

11 months agoWorst accommodation in our Philippines vacation! Stay away!! In our room there were hundreds of flying and crawling insects that came out of the bamboo walls and were in our bed and crawled all over us at night! 4 nights and we couldn't sleep through a single one because there was always something crawling all over us. I've never experienced anything like that before and didn't expect anything like this for this price! When we told the staff about it, they told us that there were probably eggs in the bamboo walls and that these animals crawled in our ears and noses. Can't understand all the good feedback on booking or google! Stay away!!

10 months agoThere are several comments here recently naming the insects problem. We got our 3-bed on 2nd floor and it was good, no problems whatsoever. Even warm water in the shower which as I read it is not so common in vicinity. The host is really helpfull, you can book breakfast for 150, island hopping which was great and even buy a ticket for a bus to El Nido.

11 months agoWorst accommodation so far!!! Every evening hundreds of flying insects hatched in the rattan walls and flew all over the room. Also you shouldn't be allergic to house dust, because there are dust threads hanging from the walls everywhere… WiFi in the room doesn't work! The air conditioning is extremely loud, there’s hardly any water from the tap, worms crawling around in the bathroom and I think you don't need to know more to NOT book this accommodation

11 months agodon't stay here! Thousands of insects come through the walls at night. In the morning I saw a huge spider on my backpack. There are probably better rooms, but this room is horror. Never ever again!
