We stayed in Pavilion 3:
The place is great starting from the location. It's a little bit far for some (but I think that's the whole point of a summer getaway) and it's located inside a village full of other resorts so you won't run out of options if it was needed. The resort itself looks clean and quite fancy. There's enough parking space for a few cars and vans and is big enough to cater a whole family reunion.
But I can't rate it 5 stars due to some reasons (some are neat picks for me). It's quite hot on the main deck where the chairs and tables as well as the kitchen is located. There were no ceiling fans so we were stuck with a few stand-on fans and some extensions. It can be a problem for pax that consists of 20 and more like us. Next is the shower amenities are not present in the bathrooms. Tissues, soaps, shampoos though I think it was stated in the description that the resort doesn't provide such hygienic necessities stated above. And lastly the pool is quite shallow, making it good for kids but for adults or teens who wants a deeper and bigger size pool, it can be a minor issue.
All in all the resort is pretty good for families and friends who wants to enjoy a quick vacation from their urban lifestyles. The resort also provides lots of entertainment like karaoke, a basketball net located above and at the corner of the pool. You can also relax in their spacious rooms with very cold air conditioning and etc. A solid 4 stars indeed! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Overall experience is great.the whole place is clean and spacious. Ample parking space. I just noticed that kitchen and fridge is quite small considering the resort is good for 40 pax. Expect heavy volume of food preps, but only few people can fit inside the kitchen. They should add microwave as well since the kitchen capacity is too small.. also, i think it is about time to change/fix the karaoke microphone. There are two mics but only one is slightly working. :)
If you want a hot spring experience, this will be the closest you can get. Very nice place. Although the refrigerator does not work. Videoke all night long! Coming back for seconds!
We rented out the smaller half of the property since it was enough for the number of people with us. We booked this ahead, by the way. Amenities were great. 3 bedrooms, each with its own toilet. Each room can accommodate up to 10 people i think. Bunks and pull-outs. The kitchen and dining area by the pool is spacious enough that everyone could do their thing without getting in anyone's way. There's a fridge, a 2-burner stove and a hot/cold water dispenser. So you can pretty much do all your food prep onsite. The pool is ok. Big enough to accommodate most of us. Being a hot spring resort, the water is quite warm. Not really my cup of tea, for for those who enjoy hot springs, you'll definitely love it. Of course, there's a Filipino pool party staple available - the undying karaoke machine. All in all, it was a wonderful experience here at Calidus. Both kids and kids-at-heart definitely had a fun weekend.
Loved the hot water and the spacious rooms. However, the resort did not meet most of my expectations. We were not able to use the videoke by the pool since the mic provided is not wireless and the wire is not long enough to reach the pool. The pool is quite small. There was no triangle available for the billiards. The tabletennis rackets provided are of low quality. And the list goes on. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our stay. :)
