Yes we stayed in the newly built rooms. Bed is new even the toilet. But my goodness!!! Poor Internet connection ! What's the purpose of having a wifi when it's not working!! You can reach their frontdesk with mobile numbers - BUT NO ONE WILL ANSWER YOU!! You have to walk 10 minutes to go there only to find 3 - 4 staffs ate there!! Cable TV pop in and out!! It doesn't work! We have been here several times and this is the most disappointing stay we ever had! The location is hours away from Manila that's why it was convenient! I can't believe after developing this resort instead of improving services and amenities they're more downgrading!
HK staffs are more approachable they assist immediately too when you need something! But staying too far from everything is not worth!! Paid the Garden Room 7,900 for this!! Not coming back!!!
Also the band noise can be heard from your room as well!! 🤬
The breakfast is only 7am-9am with this 3 choices unlike before it was buffet style!!! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I recently stayed at 88 Hotspring Resort and had a generally pleasant experience. The resort offers a wide, spacious area that is perfect for walking or light exercise, which I truly appreciated. There are also numerous pools throughout the property, which helped avoid overcrowding and allowed for a more relaxing swim. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
One of the highlights was how accessible the resort is for persons with disabilities. It’s also worth noting that the rooms come with blowers or dryers, which are useful for drying wet clothes or towels. The food served at the resort was enjoyable, and the live music added a nice touch to the ambiance. The temperature of the pools was well-maintained, providing a soothing and relaxing experience.
However, there are areas that could use improvement. Some of the rooms feel quite dated, and the beds were not as comfortable as expected. The television in the room was very basic, and the Wi-Fi was unfortunately unusable during our entire stay. There are also quite a lot of stairs around the resort, which can be inconvenient, especially for elderly guests or those with mobility concerns. Additionally, the food prices are a bit on the higher side.
Overall, it was a good and relaxing stay. With a few updates, the resort has the potential to offer an even better guest experience.
It's really beautiful here at 88 hot spring resort because of the different temperatures of the water in their pools, warm, hot, and cold water. Not only that, the food in the restaurants is delicious. And there's also a live band every night, it's relaxing to wander around, it feels like you're in another place, there are many spots that are really solid when you take pictures. That's why I rate this resort 5 stars, you start with me.
I certainly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
The grounds are wonderful but that's where the good points end.
The room was very spartan, dated and the shower room and toilet really needing updated and badly needing cleaned. The faucet moved around when you tried to use it and the shower needed gutted.
There was no safety deposit box, no tea, coffee etc which I thought really mean.
The breakfast ( which was included ) was very limited so the only thing I could eat was scrambled egg and a bit of toast. There was coffee and some powdered drink which tasted disgusting but here's the thing that just topped it all.
When checking out I was hit with a bill for cups of tea that I'd had both mornings with my breakfast, what ? Yes sir the coffee and the powdered drink is free but you have to pay for the tea bags ?
Why wasn't I told that when I ordered my breakfast ? I've been in some penny pinching places over the years but this was the worst case ever.
On top of that when sitting at the pool the constant thump from speakers from the music was all you could hear all day. I had intended to stay longer but the disgusting toilets, penny pinching and thumping base drum drove me away.
If you really must stay then certainly don't get a standard room and if you struggle to get around be prepared to climb a mountain of stairs to get to the breakfast restaurant.
Good luck.
88 Hot Spring Resort offers pools with varying temperatures, delicious food, nightly live music, and many scenic spots perfect for a relaxing and photo-worthy getaway. A solid 5-star experience!
