We stayed at Lafayette Luxury Suites Baguio for 2 nights and 3 days. Our group consisted of four people, two adults, one child, and one 3-year-old. I am rating this hotel 2 stars, and the only reason it received that rating is because of the beautiful, classic-style rooms. The property itself is visually appealing and refreshing, especially for guests who enjoy hotel hopping or heritage-style accommodations. Unfortunately, the overall experience was affected by several service-related issues: • In-room dining communication Upon arrival around 4:00 PM, we called the in-room restaurant since a menu was provided inside the room. The staff that answered mentioned she was not the regular staff and she will get one of the regular staff to call us back and would even not take our order. About 10 minutes later, the restaurant staff called back to inform us that the restaurant had closed early that day at 430pm then ended the call. There was no mention of this when we checked in upon our arrival. • Delay with basic dining requests Since food was unavailable, we ordered through Grab and requested plates and utensils ahead of time. These were only delivered after a follow-up call, when we were almost finished eating. • Insufficient room amenities For four guests, the room was initially provided with only two towels and one set of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. When we requested two additional towels and dental kits for our children on the first day, we were informed that extra items would require additional payment. While we understand replenishment policies, reaching the front desk was often difficult, making the process tiring. • Unresponsive front desk On our second day, the toilet paper ran out. My wife called twice around noon but received no answer. We called again in the evening, and only then was the request acknowledged. • Inconsistent hospitality and guest interaction Staff consistency was another issue, as service here felt hit or miss. While the security guard was very polite and the staff who assisted with our luggage were helpful, most of the staff, particularly those wearing white shirts, made us feel uncomfortable by staring as we walked through the hallways. This lack of warmth stood out, especially since we are frequent hotel hoppers. Our family, especially our kids, naturally enjoy greeting people and saying hello, as we are generally happy and friendly guests. While we understand this may be a cultural difference, working in the hotel industry requires customer service and hospitality to be top notch. In other hotels we have stayed at, staff consistently greet guests with a smile. Some even greet with hands on the chest and say, “Hello po, mabuhay,” which reflects genuine hospitality. Unfortunately, that level of service was not consistently present here. My wife even find the front desk staff rude at times when they answered the call as often she got hang up on while she was still in the middle of talking to them. The hotel has strong potential because of its beautiful rooms and overall appearance although it is old. However, customer service is a standard in the hospitality industry, and this is where Lafayette Luxury Suites falls short. With better staff training, improved communication, and more attentive service, the guest experience could be greatly improved. For now, we dont recommend this hotel unless you are willing to experience such poor customer service.

The hotel has a very cheesy interior design that might not appeal to everyone’s taste. The bidet in the bathroom has strong water pressure, which some guests might find too intense. On our last night, they surprised us with swan-shaped towels on the bed, which was a nice touch. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, making our stay comfortable. Breakfast is provided every morning, which is convenient. There’s also motorbike parking available on-site. However, one downside is that the cleaning products they use have a very strong smell, which can be overwhelming. They also charged us 500 pesos for losing our keycard :(

Nice ambiance. Lots of choices. Accommodating staff. Some guests are wearing their pajamas while having breakfast, it’s a little inappropriate. Not crowded

It was my first time trying their merienda buffet last weekend and I have to say that their food is not really extraordinary but their service is. I talked to this employee or trainee named Ethan but his name had a different spelling (?) he always smiles whenever he gets our used plates and utensils even though he was tired almost doing everything around the resto, from dishing out to refilling our napkins, wiping other tables, cleaning the food stations, etc. He also spoke perfect English to my fiancé who is a foreigner and we really liked his service and personality. My daughter asked for his instagram but knowing that he is too busy, it was understandable for him not being able to share it. We advised him to pursue a career abroad and he told us that he is planning to. Me and my family will be coming back here. We also asked Ethan if he knew where Cafe Stella is, and he told us it is located in Itogon and is far from the city, he also told us an estimated time of travel from the city to the said cafe. I am writing this review now because the information he gave us is accurate and we are now here in the said cafe, thanks to him. This was our first buffet experience here in Baguio City and it was a great dining experience. Kudos to the young guy and to the hotel!

first, the interiors are excellent and beautiful. its eligance and class is a plus but had a reservation to celebrate a special day but arrived with no tables prepared because the have given it to another guess who walked in. note that we even arrived 30 minutes early because the staff called me and said that we must arrive on time or they will give our reservation to other guess. very disappointing because we and our guess were put on hold on the lobby for another half an hour because of the issue they created and note I have not heard any apologies for their lapses. So i suggest not to waste your time doing a reservation and paying a deposit if you visit because its totally useless. They hold your money but you arrive with nothing!!!... the staffs have a lot of lapses as well in terms of their service. they also serve a spoil champorado which is really disgusting and their juices thats tasteless. Again the place is exemptional and I hope the service as well. Not really happy with my first visit. Note that they also dont provide care to people with disability like me. no assistance was received from them on my visit. Really disappointing.
