Great please for a quick getaway! They have their own beach front, Parking spot is okay, walk to from the accomodation to the beach is clean / Private. They have their own resto ++ Abit quiet than LU. Like it that way!! Heads up: Marami lang bugs, ants, lizards, frogs ++ since mej maraming trees in the area. Hassle lang na sometimes nakakapasok yung ants sa loob ng cabin. The public bathroom can also be scary / dark / kulang sa ilaw at night (Visited Aug 2024)

The room is clean and the AC works so good. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The foods are phenomenal as well, I never thought of eating vegan foods, but I like it. Walking to the beach is within reach by a minute or 2 from our room, which is convenient too. Everything is almost perfect if WiFi is installed and is accessible in all rooms. Our room booked is too far from Gazebo, just to connect. But it’s all good, who knows, the resort’s advocacy might be for guests to enjoy the stay without the online world or to escape from technology for a moment.

Kwentong Dagat is the perfect place when all you want is serene vibes. If you’re tired of the busy and bustling city, this place is for you. The entire resort’s theme is very aesthetic, appealing, and inviting. The rooms are great, clean, spacious enough, and cold. If you get bored, you can ask the front desk for board games and it’s free! The only problem I have is the water in the bathroom. If you wanna take a bath after swimming and being out in the sun all day, I suggest you let the water run first. Otherwise, you’ll be bathing in a salty and stinky water. I hope they can fix this problem immediately cause the water is obviously the most essential. You’re on the beach, hello? Upon check in, they will give you a stub for breakfast as they have free breakfast everyday at 6am to 9am (correct me if I’m wrong). Kislap, the resort’s restaurant, serves 100% vegan food. For breakfast, you’ll usually have porridge, pandesal with choices of coconut jam and peanut butter, coffee (buffet style) or a whole meal of vegan food served like rations. The whole place have no signal. The only connection you’ll get is their Wi-Fi in the gazebo. This place is not work-friendly according to the management.

We arrived earlier than our check-in time, so we chilled for a bit while the front desk walked us through the house rules. Luckily, a few cats and a dog kept us company, aliw na aliw ako as a certified pet lover! Once our Deluxe Nipa Hut cabin was ready, the staff assisted us to our room. It was just the right size for the four of us plus, it had its own restroom which was super convenient. For food, they have their own vegan restaurant called Kislap. I highly recommend giving it a try! My faves were the Kare-Kare and my mom’s Ginataang Isda. Fave ko both pero top 1 yung kay mommy. 💛 The resort has its own beachfront pa, so we made the most of it, from chill morning dips to golden hour swims. The sand is so fine, di masakit sa paa promise! The sunset is stunning here. Literal na Island Girl feels, especially since signal is hard to come by (but they do have a WiFi spot if needed). I didn’t mind at all, photo dump nalang pag-uwi! Super grateful to the staff who helped my family surprise me for my birthday, the cute yellow decor even matched my outfit! 💛🎉 Then when my mom lost her wallet, one of their staff kindly helped her find it. Thank you, Kwentong Dagat team, for making this trip extra special!

Kwentong Dagat is a lovely place to stay in Liwliwa. It’s super peaceful, and the Abaca II room is worth the price. But there are a few things they could do to make it even better. They could provide insecticide products for mosquitoes in the bathroom and room, there’s a small gap at the door, provide a hair blower and extra floor mat, and they could make the curtains darker. Overall, we highly recommend this place! The food is delicious, and the view from the second-floor restaurant is amazing.
