Gilligans Port Barton

Amazing! One of the best beach vacations we have had in the Philippines over the last 20 years. The service is super friendly, house is great (don't worry about no AC, you don't need it with the ocean breeze and fan). We had a bonfire on the beach and they even helped to arrange a lechon for us with only 1 day's notice. The little beach bar is also lovely and very handy when you run out of the drinks you brought! Thanks Grace, Erika and the whole team. We will be back

The place is like heaven. A big private villa on a private sandy beach. The only accommodation which they have. Erika makes breakfast and dinner as you wish for a reasonable extra. Water sports equipment are complementary just for you. There are no corals directly from the beach, which is typical in Palawan, but after kayaking 15-20 minutes out to the sea I found a shallow spot with many fish and living corals. It's a remote place with privacy and silence. Inter was good. Private island hopping tours are available with much better quality and price to El Nido. Last night they organized a beach campfire. Every coin has two sides. A remote location means there are no services or shops nearby, but you may bring your drinks and snacks with you and they have a fridge in the villa. They were building a beach bar on a tiny public beach next to the private area and even if it wasn't open yet, they were nice and sold some beer and soft drinks from the storage for us. Do you see? It's very hard to write anything we don't like when everything turns positive in the end. The road is very challenging and in early October, right after the rainy season, you must have a 2x4 or 4x4 car to make it through. Or you may ask the host for boat transportation from Port Barton. Please be aware they don't have aircon, but the ceiling fans were good enough for us. We (a Finnish family of four that lives in China) spent four nights in this place before moving closer to El Nido to a place with the same price, but far less nicer.

Our stay at Gilligan’s in Port Barton was the highlight of my families trip to the Philippines. Everyone was so hospitable, from the owner to all the staff to the boatman. Gilligan’s was the best place to start our vacation, to relax, disconnect, unwind and enjoy the complete beauty that the area has to offer, but with modern conveniences. The rooms were comfortable, food was fantastic. Mal, Erika and Regi were all very awesome, I can’t recommend this place enough.

This is not a five-star experience. It is a TEN STAR experience! Erika and Regi are the most amazing hosts - friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The place itself is paradise - the villa is incredible, beautifully designed and well maintained. The beach is straight from a postcard. Erika cooks really tasty meals and nothing beats a cold beer on the hammock on a beach you have all to yourself. Salamat po Erika & Regi for this piece of heaven. ❤️

Our stay at Gilligan's Port Barton with my husband its so really amazing.. The place is really relaxing , comfortable and the front view are spacious. Everytime you woke up in the morning you can wow what nice view.We stayed in Gilligans Port Barton Palawan for 1 week..Our experience are really memorable. I highly recommended this place...The best place to visit in Palawan.. and the staff are really friendly and foods are delicous..
