Cupola (at CaSoBe)

Last time we were in Aquaria was in 2017. Back then only day tour was available as no accommodations were built yet. For hubby's birthday this year, we wanted to try any of the different rooms in Casobe and were happy to experience Cupola. The room design was well thought out maximizing every nook and cranny. Beddings were extra comfy and my son loves the huge TV. Bonus points for the jacuzzi and free bike rental. Just a suggestion: best if the room has dishwashing soap and microwave oven so we could reheat leftover food from the resto and clean our own dishes after eating (we have a baby who has his own tablewares) to avoid the mess. Having to call assistance every time was time-consuming. Overall though it was an unforgettable experience that we are already thinking of going back soon.

The place looked cool and the staff was super friendly. We didn’t have issues with WiFi on our first night but on our second night, the power was fluctuating and WiFi signal was intermittent. Our super cool Smart TV also stopped working and we weren’t able to use it continuously even after they came back to try to fix it twice. The worst part of our experience is whilst staying at the Cupola, the heat that starts at around 8AM (we are here in May at Summer Season) is unbearable. Since the accommodation is made from tent material, even the two air-conditioners at 16 degrees is not enough to cool the room. PRO-TIP: Request for an electric fan early, which could help cool the temperature. We requested too late and it was all taken up by the time we asked for it. (For the admin : maybe make sure there are fans available for all Cupola rooms, just in case?) We got the fan in the late afternoon, but since the sun is not directly over us, there isn’t a lot of use for it. (We didn’t return it and was able to use it the next morning). We also noticed that there was a ventilator, maybe to fan the hot air out, but unfortunately, even after a staff checked it, he wasn’t able to get it to work. Golf carts to get to different parts of the resort are free, you just have to request from the guest services. However on our first day, we had to wait for more than an hour (they said, there was a queue from the people who were checking in). Maybe they could’ve arranged for a cart to drop by our unit, after dropping off people to their unit. Since we were going to the main building anyway where they can in turn pick up the ones who have just arrived. Win-win? Unfortunately walking at that time was not an option as it was soooo hot. Did I mention we went in Summer? :D Another PRO-TIP: Bring an umbrella. We would’ve just walked if we had a bit of sun protection. This review isn’t meant to bring the place down, in fact I wouldn’t mind going back, now that I know what to watch out for :D Maybe we can try other sections, we really want to try the cabins that are closer to the beach. (Although I'd surely miss the private jacuzzi that each Cupola has). The place looks really cool and huge! (On that note, maybe the management can add 1) more restrooms, near the pool area; 2) foot baths as I noticed the pool getting dirty because there weren’t any baths or shower that leads directly to the pool; and 3) water dispensers - dehydration is real!). Sorry for the lengthy review, I just want to help the management improve the place as it has so much potential.

We had a great experience with this resort. They have different themed villas and spectacular sunset experience. We stayed in Cupola Villa it was really nice. I just need to put on a comment that the room smells like plastic coverer. Maybe because its new, i hope they could probably put on a humidifier to eliminate the spell none the less it was really good. The staff are very friendly. There are some vendors that walk by the beach that sometimes get a bit annoying. You can order drinks and enjoy it while watching the sunset. Food was ok, there is still room for improvement or it might be just my preference. This resort is highly recommended specially if you have kids. Might be a bit of a distant walk getting to different spots but they have cars/shuttle that you can call to pick you up at your room. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏽👍🏽

Unique style of hotel like a tent including a jacuzzi. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. The hotel area is big with different styles of housing. 2 restaurants some pools with a slide and basketball and beach volleyball
