Cortijo Del Charro

I had the opportunity to bring my entire family here (my kids and grandkids) - everyone had a blast. Not a moment without fun. This place certainly brings and delivers what a vacation should be. From the moment we arrived till we left 3 days later - we were royally treated. Highly recommended - whether you are by yourself for some solitude or with an entire group (family or significant others). By the way, you will be attended by no less than the owner himself, Ricky Y.

I had a wonderful weekend in an idyllic setting among rolling hills and a view of the sea. I ate wonderful meals every evening and enjoyed delicious cocktails before and after. I played golf with Rick at the local club all weekend. If you are looking for a quiet sumptuous get-away weekend, this is the place.

Everything about Cortijo del Charro is amazing! We have been back more than once and it always feels so much like home to us. Ricky, Jen & the rest of the staff always do a great job of taking care of everyone. I can't recommend this place enough for a weekend of relaxation away from Manila. The Cortijo is one of my all-time favourite places.

My experience at the cortijo is one for the books.. to be precise I should say experiences since I've been to the cortijo more than once. Its great layout, amazing views and fantastic location makes it a great weekend hideaway. Nothing beats soaking up the setting sun by the pool while drinking your favorite cocktail and enjoying the spectacular views of the bay surrounded by great company. To top it all off, due to the Horseman's culinary deftness, he will prepare you a sumptious feast using only the freshest products that the land and sea of Batangas can produce. The Horseman's fish escabeche is truly a delight and the hand-made, fruit ice cream would end your meal perfectly. Come and experience Calatagan for yourself!

My favorite place to stay in Calatagan. It's quite a bit off the beaten path, but that just adds to its charm. Great food and very comfortable accommodations. I'm going to keep coming back.
