a year agoWe had a very pleasant stay at this hostel. The room was big enough, with towels provided and private shower. Very good value for the money. The staff was very friendly and even let us shower after we came from the beach after our check in time! The distance is 10min from the center by foot. There was a fan in the room so it was comfy to sleep. You can hear cocks during the day and night but I think this is an issue in the whole village.

10 months agoGreat place managed by a lovely family We were unlucky as when we arrived it was raining a lot and had to stay inside. But the weather turned out. And we had such a good time Cute bungalows, everything you need for a simple stay. Had an amazing snorkelling tour organised by them and we were able to rent a scooter

8 months agoDO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! - RATS! (With video proof!) I will start off by saying that I’m not the kind of person who normally writes reviews, but this time I had to! (So hopefully this can save you some headache in the future) First off, the bungalows are INFECTED with RATS, and upon arriving there were rat shit all over the bed… also, when I tried to go to sleep I saw the rats crawling in the ceiling and in the walls. If this is not bad enough, when I went to the hostess and asked if we could find a solution to getting them out, I was met with a awful attitude and she was furious at me for even addressing the rats as problem! She found it so outrageous (that I found it utterly DISGUSTING, that I had to sleep with several rats in my room) that she was calling me all kinds of slurs because of this. I finally managed to get two of the rats out, but even then I was woken up several times by them running in the ceiling and the walls. When I thought it couldn’t get any worse: (Context: we already had a deal where I was supposed to sleep one night in a room she rented out at her home.) - When I asked about this the morning after, she said- quote “Go find another place to live, since you have such a problem with rats” Hope you avoid this yourself, by booking another place in Port Barton!

5 years agoWe absolutely loved our stay here! Everything is brand new, super clean and made out of high quality. The bed sleeps amazing and the mosquito nets work really well. You have your own little bathroom and if you stay longer then 3 nights they will clean your entire bungalow. Free instant coffee in the morning is very nice and they sell cheap beer. Location is perfect, about 10 minutes walk to the city Centre. The staff is wonderful and so sweet! Would 100% recommend this place.
